I havent had much luck since the eggs are sooooo dark. This last batch, I only checked them at day 10, and threw out the clear ones.... beyond that, just sit back and wait.

I havent hatched anymore...but I did pick up some EE chicks. I based my purchase on having more roos than 1.
Ive never tried to hatch with a broody...that was my plan when I bought my opr last year, but I sold her earlier this spring. We'll see how this batch grows...
well, I lost the two that I helped out......so that puts me at 9. I agree with you Kristie..... Im more than ready to put the bator away and jsut hang out with the chicks
I took a quick peak in the bator before heading out today. Looks like another one escaped its shell last night.that puts the count at 11.. however, the wheaten, while still alive, hasn't moved from where I left it last night.

Hmmm....I was hoping for better. three have hatched, two blue and one black, two have a pip. There are a lot of them that dont seem to be doing anything....but Ill leave them and see what happens.
Ive got 28 in there still. Some I cant see through, so I just left them in. So I did things a little different this time.....I had water in for the first three days....around 50%.... then added no more, stayed around 10 - 12% for days 4 - 18. Tomorrow night I will take the eggs out of the...
