Good to see this thread active again!
cybercat, Portuguese knitting??? Please, do tell more!
I had a little too much fun at someone's fiber barn last month, to the point the batt bags do not fit in my storage totes or the closests, (yes, plural) The only reasonable solution is to...
When I started knitting I made lots and lots of dish clothes, wash clothes, and hand towels. About half way through making the 80+ squares for a mitered afghan out of dish cloth yarn I realized I was watching tv and not the knitting. For me the muscle memory in my fingers is a big piece and...
That is so sweet little farmer! How is everyone's Christmas knitting going? Half way through the last scarf and one pair of worsted weight socks to go,
from Oregon stellapuff! I have yet to knit cables either. My favorite kind of knitting is 'no think' knitting, simple patterns with pretty yarn, especially hand spun.
You might do a search on Ravelry for hair sleeve patterns. The search can be fine tuned for knit and/or crochet. It is free to join Ravelry. A lot of patterns are free or a small fee that often goes directly to the person who wrote the pattern. I would think that some cowl patterns might...
I read about the Good Reader app for iPads on a knitting blog recently. You can write your self notes on knitting patterns stored on the device. Don't know if there is something comparable for android.
Oh no, the dreaded 2nd sock syndrome! Zipping down to the toe decreases on sock #1 this evening.... so many other things to knit.... must not cast on anything else. Does casting on another pair of socks count?

BonneTerreChick, (great name!) If you are on the west side and on the south end I could have waved to you on the drive up to Corvallis today! I am northeast of Roseburg. Saw 3 adult bald eagles, one juvenile, plus a peregrine flying over the electric green grass fields with this years bouncy...
Annie3001 There may be hope. Did you block your piece after finishing the bind off? I have had throws, scarves, and shawls become gigantic after a 15 minute soak in mild soapy cold water. I do not have fancy blocking wires but after rinsing the soapy water and gently pressing the excess...
Thank-you Green Gables! I have heard of the Henrietta and her chicks pattern. Ravelry by any chance?
chloezoebob101, I do not know if there is a crochet club on BYC but I crochet and knit. This has been a fun thread to follow. BTW, great user name! Had a very dear house rabbit named ChloeZoe.
GreenGables I am not sure if it how the image comes through to my computer or not but am I seeing a 'wing' pattern in your stitches? Looks like an interesting angles to the stitches shaping the body.
