Bantams or LF?
If bantams, I can help you out by shipping 5/21..... LF I'm not breeding at the moment. (my pair isn't together at the moment, I should say)

Gabbard... far as I have heard everyone's goes back to Gabbard. But surely they got them from somewhere.
My roosters and 2 pullets are from Trisha (tls_ranch) here and I have 2 pullets that are pure vb lines. If you decide you want to stay in barnevelders and want some eggs when they...
I still have my Bantam Barnies, btw.
To answer the bantam question... they go by the same standards as the LF... the difference is only in size. Bantam Barnevelders are a work in progress and the size is larger than most of your bantams that you think of (OEGB, Sebrights, ect). But they are...

Looks like 2 definate boys and one questionable one with the pictures given. The one on the far left is a definate girl, though. The color pattern is different from boy to girl. The girls will be lacked all over and the boys seem "darker" for lack of a better term.
Thank you all for...
Well, I'm wide awake after the day I had. I'm officially out of breeding Barnevelders... I had Dutch stock too. Why you ask?
My _____ neighbor's dog killed them. I got two roosters left. Period. I'm out of Coronation Sussex too. Killed them, as well.
(yes, I'm looking for a bit of pitty)...
Since I had some snapshots I thought I would do what I usually hate to do and take the time to edit and upload. (I just hate waiting)
These are my Bantam Barnies. They kept running about and that day I wasn't trying to get award winning photos... a storm came about 10 mintues later and...

Just shows that you can't judge abook by it's cover or a breeder by their webpage. Sure is pretty though, ain't it?
Did I read you say "Almost white"!?!?! No WAY that is from a barnie.
And you are right. If you cull everyone you won't have much to work with...
I have a somewhat...

Ok so I am posting this here so real Barnevelder people can see it and have first chance at them . I have a standard Barnevelder cockerel, hatched February of this year. He is from my stock, not crossed with anything but barnevelders, I just hatched too many roosters this spring...

...Imagine my surprise...
Yeah, I even lost one rooster... they were in the shade most of the day and I added a ugly tarp to give them some shade-in-the-shade area that would stay cooler all day. I felt horrible for them! They would pant so hard they would make a "eiiii"...

My Gabbard Farm stock did VERY poorly in the TN summer... granted it was hotter than usual and broke all sorts of records. By far the one breed that had it the worst in the heat here at my place.

I bought eggs directly from him. All were infertile (too early out of winter is my guess) except one. I DID open and check for bullseyes and they weren't there. Just to nip that one in the butt before someone asks. The only one that was fertile hatched a rooster... so I went and bought...

If it is the same person, it happened to me too. I'm still not sure if I got standards or bantams. Some were marked standard and some bantam. When I wrote a email about it to this person, they said... "they are all bantam. Don't worry." Bantam is what I wanted but standard seems to be...

We have what is called "The Tennessee Trader" which is just classifieds from front to back. I tried that once and got a lady who was nice enough, but she never followed through with picking up the birds. I hope she just forgot for her sake.... hate to think she had a wreck or something...

it's been about three weeks I think... I am thinking of having a day set aside to put him and a few other cockrels out in the front yard (in cages of course) and put out signs. I think there are alot of people who just don't check online for chickens... at least in my area. Even people...

Here is an observation: It seems that certain breeders are pushing lower quality birds into the market. It happens with every breed when there is a demand but a limited supply. It seems, to me anyway, that the "true barnevelder" has been watered down by cross breeding to increase...
I'm new to breeding Barnies too (God they are soft!!!)... I have a extra roo that I need to find a good home for, but am having no luck. Is $10 (what I'm asking) too much? He is in my avatar... I'll try to edit in a moment with a bigger pic.
EDIT:
