Hi,
I am hoping that we can get a comprehensive list of Canadian poultry and game bird breeders on here, I have been trying and failing to find many places that sell hatching eggs or live chicks in Canada...aside from the mainstream breeds, but would still be nice to have the mainstream breed hatcheries on here to, so any breeders...even tiny hobbiests interested in selling eggs/chicks/chickens in Canada...I personally am in BC.
Anyone else interested in this idea?
 
I would recommend GreendaleHeritageFarm.com especially for rare and unusual heritage breeds. They are based in Chilliwack, BC and sell hatching eggs and day old chicks.

I'm in BC too and bought all my Buff Orps from there. I did not want hatchery chicks and spent hours searching and searching for breeders. It would be fantastic if we could compile them all in one place, really great idea!
 
Yes thank you I will have to use that one as a starter :) hoping more people would be interested in adding their names to a BYC Canadian Breeder list :)

Me I'm looking for a breeder of brahma to ship to newfoundland I'm not interested in flying back and forth to the u.s. to get eggs or chick's so any breeder out there sedan me a message any time I'm hoping that if I start this now I might be able to get some brahmas by the spring time
 
I'm looking for hatcheries in and around southern Ontario.

One of the problems in Canada is that apparently our post office doesn't have a good shipping system for live animals like the USPS does. I've found many hatcheries but they won't ship chicks, only eggs. If this information is wrong I'd love to know. I can order from someone who will ship, or I can drive up to 4 hrs.

I see this thread has been quiet for a while but I came across a small breeder in Ontario near Barrie that has I few heritage breeds called Bulbs Of Fire. They have cuckoo malines, black copper marans, and bielefelder , they also have an olive egger
