Chinese goose laying so young ?

I think that since goslings are usually hatched late February and on, they usually aren't mature enough to lay during breeding season, so we don't realize it's possible. Since your's was hatched really early, everything lined up just right and you have a goose that lays early.

I really don't want any more babies this year, i am over run with birds here.

I figured i would loose some chicks to the young hawks but they are staying away from the no fly zone and well it;s suicide for anything else to get any with the dogs and i am outside most of the time.
