Last winter I post this photo of me with a barred owl that I found tangle in poultry netting. I took the bird to a local vet who treated it for lice and checked the injury--nothing real bad--then turned it over to a rehabilitator for release. I just learned where that rehabilitation/release was done: Kindred Kingdoms Wildlife Rehabilitation Inc., 211 Sutton Rd. Pennellville NY 13132.
