I have been as excited for this week as a kid at Christmas. Probably more excited, actually. ;) My order of 17 chicks was supposed to be shipped from Meyer Hatchery this week with an ETA of Tues-Thurs.

The people at Meyer told me I'd get an email with tracking information when it shipped. Here it is Wednesday morning and I didn't have anything!

I called Meyer up and the customer service lady was pretty much stunned. She had a record that it was shipped but no tracking information. She said she would try to find out some information for me but she sounded pretty perplexed/worried.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they show up unharmed and are not stuck in the back corner of some post office warehouse in Ohio...

Hang in there! I had a big mess of chaos trying to get my chicks too, but it did turn out fine and all chicks except one were great. I had a whole day of total panic trying to figure out where they were, and what happened, and then all of a sudden the P.O. called at 9:00 p.m. and told me to come get them!

I am sure it will work out fine :)

I got my order from Meyer last year on June 2nd. I was hoping to get it the 1st, so I went through the worry of "are my babies going to be OK?" I live in So. Cal. All five of my chicks were healthy and lively. I hope you get the Post Office call soon! Waiting is hard when it comes to live chicks!

I'm right there with you in Ohio today. My chicks were shipped by express mail yesterday from Maryland and are supposed to be here by 3 p.m. today. But the tracking link still shows the last scan as 8 p.m. last night in Maryland. UGH. I let the p.o. know I am expecting them, but I'm getting a little concerned about why they haven't been tracked anywhere near me yet with less than three hours remaining until they're supposed to be here. I always worry until they are here with me! I hope all of our chicks make it home safe and sound very soon!!

Thanks for the commiseration.

I hope they are OK. The lady I talked to at Meyer said she would let me know by closing time if she found out where my chicks are. Well, closing time has come and gone. Hopefully they will just show up.

ah thats sooo sad, I know how you feel on how excited and anxious you get waiting for the chicks to arrive.Even if you look up your order online you cant find a tracking number?good they usually send the chicks with a jell egg that provides all there water and food they need for 3-4 days. good luck let us know how you make out.
