Depends on what part of the AuSable. There are a whole load of access points right near the campground (If you can get him to come with you I have a personal favorite spot with some VERY nice brookies that I will show you guys 
). One of the access points is acrost the road from the campground and down a two track. So, it all depends on where he wants to go. One thing about the N. Branch. It's fly fishing only. I'll tell you what though, there is nothing more beautiful than a Sept. brook trout caught on a fly. Their colors look like a sunset!! If you guys don't fly fish, I will gladly teach you (been teaching for about 17 years) and I have several extra fly rods and reels. Also I tie my own flies so the first dozen or two you loose while learning is no big deal, lol!
