Minnesota!

Thanks Ralph. I will most likely try this. It is very hard to find medicines like Probiotics or things for worming around here.
I just went to a Tractor Supply Store for my first time on my way back from Red Wing. I was surprised to see all the things you could buy!! Always thought you would need a prescription for most of those drugs.
I heard you mention TSC and Runnings? Any other stores? I can google them on maps but I have a feeling most of these will be miles from me too. Mills fleet farms are even miles from me. Inner city chicken raising is proving to be a challenge as far as stores are concerned. Thank you.

Try Mills Fleetfarm..

There is one in Brooklyn Park or center or whatever the outskirts of Osseo is called now. They have one in Burnsville area also right off 35 south of Buck hills.

They actually have a larger selection than TSC. When looking at drugs and medical things, remember to look for Fish antibiotic, cattle and horse stuff, it can all be used just have to watch the dosages. Actually I find a good Sulfa drug is handy to have around. But we always had it when we were kids.

I got something in my trap!!!

I might have to rethink the leg hold traps if this keeps up.

I have a confession to make..............I bought more chicks. They arrived on Monday. I can only shake my head in shame right now because there are no logical reasons for getting more chicks. But golly it sure is exciting!!!

Its a "Primitive" antibiotic. We used it for calves with scours and just about everything else when we were kids.

I think it still works for minor bacterial infections. He is a link explaining it.

Again this is not scientific at all and just what I like to use. (if I have to use something) I really try to use nothing. I isolate the sick ones and try to stop the spread before it starts. I have been lucky so far.( knocking on wood). I would rather lose a bird instead of feeding drugs to them all..
