So sorry to hear your news. I had 2 roos and 1 hen all siblings die of Mareks. The rest of my birds are doing well. I have a closed flock I only hatch my own eggs from my hens and roos.
 
Thanks so much. It's sad to see them die so young. I have 4 birds left. Three are doing great, while one is not laying, and I suspect she may be sick, but I really can't tell yet. I'm just watching and waiting to see.
So sorry about your birds. I hope things get better for you. I had hopes of having enough birds to keep me supplied with enough eggs for myself, but with only 3 hens laying every other day, I have to buy store eggs also. The Maran's are not production birds so they don't lay as frequently. I suppose I am lucky they lay as much as they do.
I consider myself blessed to have them. They are all wonderful girls and I love having them in my life.

They deserve to have a nice life and I will do what is needed to make that happen.
