View attachment 1205759 I made a Brownie mix and a Chocolate Chip Cookie mix in a jar today. :D
Those are so cute, and would make wonderful gifts! You did a great job! I love the look of putting fabric under the mason jar lids. I did something similar when I made some apple butter - I think I still have a few jars. If I can get hubs to help me later, I could post a pic.

It must be the "time of the year"....I purchased store eggs today too.
My hens are NOT laying 7. I had Dr. Whitings given to us...and they
were laying tons of eggs....BUT IT WAS A HIGH PRICE TO PAY...THEY
DESTROYED OUR COOP....POOP IN EVERYTHING. We returned them to the gal that gave them to us. She neglected to tell us...that was the reason she was looking for a new home for them....they are THE MESSY MESSY breed of birds we have ever met. Aria
Wait, what? What kind of chickens made a mess in your coop, Dr. Whitings? Never heard of them. I must be missing something!

How do you make the icing on the upper left cookies? i need one that dries firm.

A tiny bit of corn syrup will firm up the frosting. I used a recipe for that with some gingerbread cookies (must be a couple years ago now) and also in the frosting for the egg nog cookies.

Having a problem posting reply....
YES, Dr. Tim Whiting a very famous man. There is an article in December January 2017 in magazine Field and Stream. The chickens are beautiful and lay large blue eggs. And they LAY and LAY. Dr. Whiting has worked with developing these chickens and is now a multimillionare with the fly fishing industry. The feathers of his chickens are used to make flys for the fishing industry. Quite a person and quite a chicken. The chickens perhaps are high strung...they fly and stop at every part of the coop and poop. We had them given to us, and kept them for a month. They lay and lay the most beautiful blue colored egg. We have a small coop and have had Silkies.

I baked the blue berry muffins this morning. I used my Jumbo pan because I like big muffins
