Just last night I noticed this little scab on Quackers' foot. He's not limping or anything, I only noticed it because I had picked him up last night & laid him on his back in my lap (which I found out he doesn't like lol). I've read threads about Bumblefoot, so of course as a first time duck mama I'm concerned. He does walk on hardwood floors all day. Should I just keep an eye on it? Or do something, & if so what do you suggest?

Sure looks like the beginning of bumblefoot alright...a good thing you've caught it in such an early stage.

some have posted lately about using an iodine and sugar paste and wrapping it with gauze and vet wrap..letting it draw the bumble out. Seems like that would be a good one to try since it is so small.

Our vet gave us this purple spray for our Cayuga's when we rescued them... Its for pink eye, and wounds.... Sprayed once a day for a week and both ducks were completely healed.
Is it actually called Purple spray? or is there another name for it?
