Mr. Shadrach, would care to explain why you reacted with a sad face when I suggested that the horny toads would make fine dinners in response to their tormenting my poor moulting hens!? Even Fabio has had it with them. He's moulting too and is none too pleased with constantly having to run to the aid of one of his damsels in distress.
Well, I don't know about your toads but at least two varieties we have here I've been told are poisonous.

It's been lovely here again, low 20s, blue skies, light breeze.
Very few of the girls are still laying, and then erratically. I do hope the young pullets don't keep me waiting till spring for eggs!

Mine are the horny young cockerels that like to try to jump miserable moulting hens.
