Not sure of these Two splash Ameracaunas. These two keep their distance and are bigger then my other two. I know it’s harder to tell with Ameracaunas but they give rooster vibes 8 weeks old.
This is my sweet 9 year old ameracauna. She is missing feathers on her back as well but it’s not as bad.Its the middle of summer so why would she be molting? It’s been in the 90s.I did have a mite problem but I’m pretty sure we fixed it.The only rooster I have is a bantam. She is healthy...
Hi, first time posting and first time hatching incubated eggs from my 3 Ameraucana hens and my Bielefelder rooster. They started hatching this morning, and I’m hoping to get about 10 of them. My questions are: A, can I expect them to be auto sexing? And B, anyone has any photos they can share of...
I originally hatched it out in an incubator and then slipped him/her under a broody silkie who is now her mom.
Dad is definitely a Lavender Ameracauna
I have a lot of breeds of hens but majority of Lavender's babies are black.
So why is this little guy/gal WHITE?!
The neck in a video when...
Hi all,
Does anyone know what these scab like things on my black americana rooster could be, I noticed them a few days ago and just want to check on here before I have to take him to the vet.

Laura

Hello! Long story short, can anyone confirm if it's possible for a Blue Ameraucana to be without a muff or beard?
I was under the impression that they always have a muff and beard and that the Meyer ameraucanas are true ameraucanas; Meyer's website even lists them as having beards and muffs...
I have an Ameracauna I got from a feed store. They came out of the female bin but now that they have gotten older, they are now crowing/ trying to mate/ and show off food to the other chickens. But I don’t notice any spurs on their legs like males usually have. What do you all think
Are they a...
New to owning Ameracauna/EE chickens. The ones I recently got a few weeks ago are all young, but one of them is making me scratch my head- I ain't sure if it's an April, or an Andy. (Most recent pictures are the last 4.)
I got what I thought was an ameraucana. The comb is throwing me off and I havent seen any all black ones in my google searches. Can anyone tell me if shes not an ameraucana what breed this is? Shes about 8-9 weeks old. Also seems like a pullet based on demeanor, but am I wrong on this? ps I did...
So, I've noticed everyone else has their own little poultry diaries, and I thought, why not create one for us? I mean, if only to document the saga of our feathered escapades. We're like the newcomers in the chickenhood, starting from scratch with our flock.
Now, picture this: I had my fair...
I’m hoping to get some clarity on whether this 6 week old Ameraucana of mine is a pullet or cockerel. She/he (Bullystick) doesn’t have any pink on her comb unlike their sibling Chipmunk (last image, who I think is a roo).
Bullystick has different colouring though so I’m not sure.
Hope someone...
I have this gorgeous Bantam Easter Egger I got from a Bantam Assortment from Cackle Hatchery. I’ve posted about her before asking for help figuring out her coloring and genetics, and from what I got as answers she looks like a splash. Now I know Easter Eggers are most of the time made from...
Hey there!! Does anyone have an Ameracauna (my Roo is a Blue) and bred it with a Welsummer? I'm wondering if the chicks will have beards and muffs. Is that automatic or will some have it and some not? I'd love to see pics if y'all have this mix, please. ❤️
Hey. I have the opportunity to get one of these boys to go with my ameracauna splash and blue hens and hopefully have more splashes, but it’s so easy to have people post as pure Ameracaunas when they’re actually Easter eggers so I was hoping I could get some second opinions?
