The pullet has no signs of mulberry in comb or wattles, one Cockerel also is not mullbery-ing. One Cockerel has partial mulberry on his comb but not his wattles. They are all...

rooster for rehome
I'm looking to re-home three, mixed breed 13 week old cockerels. I've had them since they were 2 days old. A friend incubated five of her eggs for me. I want pullets to raise for eggs. Out of the five, 4 of them turned out to be cockerels. Please message me if you are interested in any of...
I have 2 white roosters with pea combs needing to be rehomed to a good home or farm. They are beautiful and sweeties. They come from a small farm, not a hatchery. They are not vaccinated, and have been fed non-gmo, non-medicated feed since received in the mail.
I have several roosters I need to sell. Two are mix breed approx 4 months old. I also have three Silver Duckwing bantam cockerals. PM me if interested. I am in the Springfield, Tn area.
As we’re all carefully inspecting our chick’s combs and wattles at this time of year with anticipation...I’m wondering what age is average for them to start turning more pink for a pullet vs a cockerel? Does it really depend on breed?
My guess is that cockerels start to show themselves with...
Hi!
I’m new to this site and new to keeping chickens...
We have two Orpington’s, five standard Cochins and a ‘bonus’ ICB... all between 6 and 8 weeks old.
Our oldest Cochin is definitely pullet as far as I can tell, no wattle or comb to speak of... so it’s making me worry that my other FOUR...
Ok, so I may have gotten a little burned on a “chicken deal” for Sapphires. I told the breeder we have a farm, and think that equated “they can take a bunch of cockerels”. My “blue laying” group of 10 chicken has 7 cockerels (not going to be seeing many eggs from them, eh?) They were “about 5...

Every Spring, the same thing. The vicious cycle of "Chick Season" begins. Feed Stores everywhere are stocking various breeds of young offspring with dirt cheap prices to help sell their higher value inventory and create a steady stream of new customers shopping within their proprietorship.
And...
So I had just got done telling another BYC member not to worry, her rooster will get the hang of it as he matures. :hugs And I've had a dozen roosters in my experience with chickens.
But I'm dealing with a young Sumatra stag- 7 months old. He grabs the hen and hops on and does the dance...
Hi I have a 6 month old Red Bantam Cochin Frizzle cockerel who I may need to sell because I live in a neighborhood if a no crow collar doesn't work. I love him and he loves to have a flock to protect. He hates being alone and he's sweet and friendly. Very pretty, show quality and friendly. (Was...

Looking to rehome three 8-week-old Faverolle cockerels. I paid extra to have them sexed... Clearly someone was having a bad day 'cause I ended up with 4 boys, 4 girls, instead of 8 girls.
- Purchased from Cackle Hatchery on June 19, 2017
- On medicated feed
- Not vaccinated
- Friendly and...
Beautiful 20 week old rooster for free. He's a good boy and can be easily handled. Just too noisy for my neighbors. We would like to see him head to a good home and not a soup pot.

P.S. I hope somebody could please check my Silkie Sexing thread.. otherwise if you can't sex silkies please try sexing the chickens attached! <3 :)
