    What's up with this goose?

Lately this goose has been staying around the house area instead of going out to pasture with other geese. We seem to have connected. We honk at each other. If I try to hug him he bites me though. Why is he staying around here? Did his flock kick him out or something? He doesn't appear to be...

    2020 Gosling Hatch-A-Long

So, I was waiting for someone to make this thread but I got a suprise this morning on the 1st of January 2020 which forced me to start the 2020 Gosling Hatch-A-Long :) I've never had a goose egg this early and everyone here is suprised but yet again not suprised because the mating, fighting and...

    Introducing goslings to single goose

Should i have anything to worry about when introducing goslings to a single african goose? I've read that usually ganders are what to worry about. Also I was thinking that since she is the only goose(4 ducks, 1 goose) that she might readily adopt the babies, but just want to make sure.

    Goose mating behaviors

Ok friends, educate me! What are some of the tell tale signs that geese are ready to mate? Do they do any head bobbing or dancing like the other birds?

    Lonely Goose

So, I’ve had an incident where a raccoon got two out of three of my geese, which leaves me with one male. Ever since then, whenever I try to let him out of his cage by the lake side and go back home, he follows me all the way there honking the whole time. He used to do this with his flock as...

Moving Geese from Pond to Lake Side

Hello! I have three geese that we’re trying to move from a small pond and keep by a lakeside, but they keep trying to return to the pond. They get nervous a lot around the lake side, they start shaking a lot, but they seem to do ok whenever someone is with them. At night, we try to keep them in...

New to raising a house goose!

Hi! I'm Franks mom, and I'm extremely new to all of this! My husband and I took in a baby goose, only a few weeks old, and figured since I am a stay at home mom with our infant son that raising Frank wouldn't be an issue. That being said, I have never raised a goose before and am entirely new to...

    HELP! Sick gosling?

So recently I’ve purchased two goslings at my nearest Atwoods probably a week or so ago on the same day . The employees did not specify or know how old they were but looked to be a few days I assume. I bought a African Chinese swan and a regular white Chinese swan goose. A few days went by and...

    Noisy male goose

Hello everyone! I had a quick question regarding my gander. He currently lives with one male duck. Anytime I’m outside and then leave, the goose starts screaming his head off for the next ten minutes. Im not sure if he’s upset that I’m leaving, or what. Would having another male goose with him...
