Hi.
I have 5 buff Orpingtons 17 weeks old. They have an Omlet Igloo for a coop. Tonight I noticed that one of them was sleeping on top of the rest.
There’s space for all 5 to roost in this coop, any idea why one would sleep on top of the others?
Thank you for the help.
Okay, I'm not sure if I'm really allowed to be putting an article on this here, as I didn't build the coop from scratch . But I'm doing it anyway. After deciding we didn't have the time, resources or space to build a chicken coop this past summer, we decided to cheat and go with the Omlet...
I am so upset right now, I'm posting this here as well as under "predators." I have a large 6'x15' walk in chicken run from Omlet. A HAWK has been able to kill two of our beloved satin bantam chickens through the fencing. I am devastated.
Clearly 1/2" or 1/4" hardware cloth is standard for...
They are not predator proof. Yesterday one of my 2 satin bantams was found dead (she had been acting slow, so I thought maybe she had died in the corner and something tried to snack on her. Bagged her up and sent her for necropsy in case something was happening with my flock. WHELP - fool me...
I am have an Omlet Eglu Cube with 9ft run coming and I need help deciding where to place it. They will have some fenced off areas to explore and forage during the day but will remain in the attached 9ft run until I open it...
1. Pea gravel area along the back of our house. There is a weed block...
Hi everyone! I'm new to the site and this will be my first year keeping chickens! Based on my research and what I want for my chickens, I have decided to go with the Omlet Eglu Cube with 9 foot run. I plan on letting the girls out in the yard outside of the run when they can be supervised...
We finally bought Omlet’s automatic sliding door. It fits to Omlet and other wooden hen houses as well as wire.
It took a few days to get the light mode sensor fully calibrated. It works really well so I no longer have to get up at first light to open up the roost. Approx 15 to 20 minutes...
We spent the morning putting up the fence for the ladies (Lavender, Peregrine, Coco, and Coco. No, I didn’t name the chickens). It’s a cool, movable fence that we got from a company called Omlet (if you’re interested, just Google “Omlet movable fence” for more info). We’ve had the fence for...
Hi all,
Unfortunately a few weeks ago the last of my flock of eight years passed away. With troublesome neighbors and the area around my home becoming more and more dense I've decided to not continue raising chickens, at least not until I move to a new home.
I have for sale the following...
Recently I invested in the 39 meter length of Omlet chicken fencing. ( You can find it by Googling “Omlet fence.”) This is an easy to install, movable fence for use with chickens.
My husband and I found it trickier to put the poles together than we expected but once we did, we found them very...
Just showing off my coop & run now that it’s coming together the way I want.
The whole set-up is actually a (very heavy but still moveable) chicken tractor. 14 feet long by 3 feet wide. The barn-style coop sits on top of the run and is made of extremely durable, insulated, barn-thick siding...
Okay, I’m math... ummm... challenged so I could use some help with this.
My coop and attached run. (It’s a chicken tractor so the coop sits on top of the run) are 3 feet wide by 14 feet long. I am ordering Omlet brand chicken netting/fencing to allow my girls SUPERVISED free range time outside...
We currently have two hens and want to expand our coop. The girls reside in an Omlet Cube. In order for us to expand to add possibly 10 more hens, we are in need of another Eglu. Does anyone have a used Eglu they are wanting to sell?
I live in a neighborhood with an HOA and houses that are fairly close together. We have chickens but no fence that encloses the yard. It wasn't an issue last year but I see that the girls are very interested in the neighbor's yards (hunting chipmunks). So I have been looking at options to...
