I mean a box was broken... and still 50.00

I collected Breyers for most of my life, but when Seabiscuit came out, and they rushed to mass produce the Seabiscuit and War Admiral models, they SERIOUSLY left quality in the dust bin. The overall quality of Breyers had been steadily declining, but it was something I could deal with as long as the occasional refresher came about. That mass plummet in quality really turned me off of the model horse collecting hobby...
I still love my Breyers, but these days when I see a Breyer box; rather than immediately going to the display to see what's available, I'll consider going to look them over, and even then with a harshly critical eye.
When a company that has been making model horses for so many years decides they would rather produce 10,000 mediocre models with lobsided faces and uneven legs (both on SB and WA), it's going to take a LOT to get my interest back. I would have to see near-perfection. Breyer would REALLY have to prove that the models they are making are worth me taking out of my minimum wage paycheck to get one.

Maybe I'm just jaded...

I have Cloud... He's still one of my favorites. I have an original issue Secretariat in storage (don't have a decent place to put him), the Medicine Hat mare and foal, and the Arabian mare and foal... I like the mare+foal sets. xD
