Cute! Pekins I've seen look nothing like that, maybe it's just individual differences. Or Austrtalian ones.
There's hardly ever storms in New york. I was very surprised when the big ones hit. I couldn't believe it. The wind there never picks up to more than around 10 knots.
Maybe you've only seen the adults. Idk about the one in AU though.
What do you mean there are no storms?!? This is the rainy season, there are plenty of storms, the backyard is a swamp of mud, the chickens prefer to day on their roosts, only coming down to eat because it's so muddy, and the winds, well it's cold enough as it is. Nowadays there is a thunderstorm every two days!
I've seen Pekin chicks. They were a lot fatter than the one in your pic
..... *backs away slowly* Wow. Yes. I meant there didn't used to be storms...
I guess if I'm not over there, I can't tell. But one thing I CAN tell is that it's overcast a lot of the time? Is that right? And... er.... yes, it does rain sometimes. I only ever got wind of a major storm recently though.
