~«Survival By War»~ (Warrior cat rp)

Silverkit's eyes snapped open suddenly.
She had seen another cat in her dreams! A cat that wasn't Moon or Strikestar or Snakepaw or Two-Face. Maybe that she-cat could train her to...
Snakepaw! She glanced up at her mother, pleased to see she was still sleeping, and stood, picking her way over her siblings. She glanced at Grayfur and Willowstar, thankful she didn't wake them. She slipped out of the den, glancing around camp. It was still dark, a thin line of dawn slipping through the trees. No cats in the clearing. She dashed toward the apprentices den, stifling a squeal of delight as she slipped inside. Her eyes narrowed, trying to pick out the pale pelt of Snakepaw.
There! She saw him curled in his nest, Sagepaw curled up in the nest next to his. Very carefully, Silverkit padded over to him, picking her way over stray paws and tails. "Snakepaw," she hissed when she reached him, prodding his side with a paw. "Snakepaw wake up!"
Suddenly, Sagepaw's soft voice filled her ears.
"Silverkit? What are you doing in here?"

Snakepaw grumbled quietly as he opened his eyes to the faint sound of someone calling his name and a jab of a paw in his side. With his brain feeling sluggish and before his eyes adjusted, he thought it was one of his brother's trying to wake him but Sagepaw's voice and the now clear outline of Silverkit made his scramble to his paws. "Silverkit is going to be an apprentice any day now, I've offered to help her adjust, don't worry about it Sagepaw." He whispered to the she-cat, hoping she wouldn't note how offering help was definitely out of his character.

(Totally forgot about Grayfur! Oh my gosh, I need to add her to the pile of my characters)

"You're doing what?!" Sagepaw hissed, sitting up slowly. "I really hope you aren't planning on taking her out of camp, Snakepaw. You also don't just help." Her eyes narrowed, her tail curling around her paws. "No. Silverkit, go back to your den or I will report you to both Hawkclaw and Willowstar."
Silverkit whipped around, her amber eyes wide. "Please, Sagepaw! Please don't tell anyone! I just want a little training!" She glanced between the two older apprentices, noticing how uncomfortable Sagepaw looked, as if breaking a few rules would kill her.

Snakepaw rolled his dark eyes "She's not a kit Sagepaw, she's well old enough to be here. Besides I'm only taking her just outside to Bird Foot Lake, that's only a few minutes away from camp and would you really want to bother Willowstar and Hawkclaw over something so small." He explained with an annoyed voice "Besides didn't you run away from this clan as a kit, it's not like you followed the rules that well either." He huffed before he padded past her nest, nudging Silverkit to follow him, Sagepaw didn't know that this was the safest thing for Silverkit, it was a better arrangement then her being battered by evil ghost cats.

"That was different!" Sagepaw spat. "I'm going—"
"Tell anyone," Silverkit said slowly, turning to her. "And I will tell every cat in the clan just how much you love Blackwind." With that, she trotted after Snakepaw, her head held high and a grin across her muzzle. She glanced behind her, seeing a frazzled Sagepaw hiss and sink back into her nest. Silverkit giggled softly, eyes glittering.

Snakepaw gave a small snicker at Silverkit's childish threat but it seemed to have worked which was all they needed to slip away. "Follow closely, our territory is very open and watch where you step, there's streams everywhere." He informed her as the slipped past the grand waterfall out of camp. Snakepaw stood on the path of smooth rocks that led down to the lake, they had a vantage point to see it and the stretching territory from where he had stopped.

Leopardmoon saw shining flashes of peaking sunlight through the base of the tall trees as Pineclan moved slowly through their territory, dawn was approaching slowly and they had finally made it out of the tunnels. She still carried Doveheart dutifully and beside her Needlepaw had gave in and was carrying Dogfang with Barkpaw. The rest of the remaining apprentices had huddled around her as well and Leopardmoon watched the young cats with pride and sadness as they walked with heavy paws. Rainstar was leading the clan back, Leopardmoon thought she seemed unfazed by how dead the air felt and how sticky everyone's pelt was with drying blood and the tired deputy had to make sure she didn't curl her lip at the horrible leader.

Silverkit slipped past the narrow path beside the waterfall, squealing loudly when water sprayed her pelt. She leapt out beside Snakepaw, furiously shaking her pelt. "You couldn't have chosen a drier path?! Honestly! I'm soaked!"

Snakepaw shushed her "Be quiet! You'll wake the whole camp!" He then gave an amused laugh "Besides, this is the only path out of camp. A true Waterfallclan cat doesn't mind the spray of water!" He then frowned "You do know how to swim right? Your mother is supposed to have you getting comfortable with water at like three moons as dry-paws are useless for our clan." He questioned quietly, he may have to delay any battle training and switch to hunting if that was the case.

"I know how to swim," Silverkit scowled at him. "But I don't like swimming. I'm not good at it, and I don't like my pelt getting wet. I rather chase rabbits then hunt silly fish!" She stretched her long legs, as if trying to prove she was made for running and not swimming. "What's the point of getting wet and cold when we can hunt the rabbits and mice on the moorland?"

Snakepaw rolled his eyes "Our land is too soft for many rabbits to stick around in, their tunnels would flood too easily for that and there's no cover for mice but there is plenty of fish and crabs! That's what you'll spend your time hunting, you better learn to like water because that's all we have, that's what we live by. Don't take it for granted as we have it better then the other forest dwelling, flea ridden clans." He growled defensively at Silverkit, she wanted to be a great warrior but she didn't seem to realize that meant hunting just as much as fighting.
