She said and glanced at Toby, who was now playing on his phone with Alpha resting his head on Toby's shoulder. "He doesn't seem to understand that people need other people to function properly."

"No problem." River said, then listened to Jessi as she spoke of her brother. "Hmm."

River turned her head from Bleddyn to the two approaching girls. "Hey, Alice, Brisa."

"Hi, Aunt River," she said, pausing to watching Bleddyn's headlong dash for the restroom. Overwhelmed and more than a little bit confused, she turned to Grace and asked, "Who should we show the folders? Lachlan, maybe?"

Brisa nodded to Jessi with a smile, then looked around for Lachlan. He seemed most level-headed, and maybe he could help them out.

What are you doing? You're just sitting there. If you're just gonna sit there you might as well leave. Toby texted Jessi.
If ur so antsy pantsy & bored Y don't you come in? Jessi responded.
Toby: No way. Last time I stepped in there cat-boy scratched my face.
Jessi: Then maybe you should come in to clean it up
Toby: No. It's just a scratch. I doubt he has rabies.
