«We Could Be Legends»

Bleddyn gave him a sour look. "I can mess with my wounds all I want, Dogsheep."
To prove her point, she carelessly pressed one of her right fingernails into a dried wound on her left arm, bringing fresh blood to the surface.
"Do not call me Dogsheep you little-" Wolfram broke off as she dug her nail into a dried wound, and it took everything in him to not snarl at her. That...that looks to familer...something....I would have done. "Stop, Bleddyn!"He growled."Please, Don't, just....don't."

Brisa turned River to speakerphone and glanced at Jessi before replying. "Hi, Aunt River. We were wondering if you and the others were all okay."
"Oh boy." River muttered, before piping up. "Uh, yeah, alive, at least. We got everyone back, they were already escaping. There was a knife and gun fight. We have some wounded, but they've been taken care of. Lachlan had some cuts, Wolfram was stabbed in the arm and has a couple head wounds, Bleddyn had a knife stab wound on her leg, they all have been taken care of. Toby..." She paused, knowing Jessi was there. "Toby was shot. Misty helped with the wound, but he won't let a healer heal him."

"And earlier you told me you didn't want to be called Dog-Boy," Bleddyn reminded him cheekily, deftly ripping open all sorts of wounds just to nettle him. "It's either that or Dogsheep. Your pick. And remember, I can do what I want."

"Toby was WHAT?!?" Jessi yelled, a look of anger and fear on her face.

(*Really wants to make one of my people heal all her wounds much to her chagrin*)
"When are dad's ever good?" Toby asked, throwing another rock into the water.
"I'll bet there's one out there, giving his precious sons and daughters hugs and kisses every night, carefully tucking them in under soft blankets, going to their concerts and games..." Indigo said wistfully, studying the texture and color of a rough blue stone.
If I ever had kids, I would marry a man like that.
She stared off into the distance, though there was nothing but an overcast sky and industrial buildings to look at. She realized she was looking everywhere but his face. She sat down, but twenty feet away to give him space.
She wanted space too, knowing that a man wouldn't ever love her for the beauty of her character, but for outward beauty.

Wolfram stared at her hard, before forcefully grabbing both her wrists, pulling them away from each other."Listen to me now." His snarl was deep, his eyes never leaving hers. Her opening her wounds bothered him more then it should've, and he was willing to admit it, because he knew it was true."Stop doing that. I asked you once, and I'll asked you again. Please. Stop. Doing. That."

Toby sighed. "I guess. One of my friends was a dad. He was a good dad." He threw yet another rock, and winced. The movement was starting to hurt his wound. He sat down and pulled his hoodie over his head. He grabbed his phone, hoping it would have magically fixed. He was tempted to throw it in the water, but changed his mind and stuck it back in his pocket.

"You really should let the fix it," Indigo said under her breath.
