Misty narrowed her eyes at the others and decided now wasn't the best time to intervene. So she shot into the line of bushes nearby, shook off the kids and growled at them to be silent. She watched the others intensely

Peter's eyes widened. "Uh.. uh, okay," he stammered. He subconsciously pulled at his hoodie. Kinda... rude. I mean, I saved her life. Peter watched her warily, bracing for another outburst. Well, you did fail pretty miserably. They had to carry you onto the van! He reminded himself, sulkily shoving his hands back into his pockets.
Bleddyn didn't spare Peter any more attention other than a simplistic nod, content that they'd reached mutual understanding on the matter of her pitiful breakdown.Indigo nodded before realizing he couldn't see her. "Rodger that," she muttered. She felt the attraction to the group, safety and numbers. But they would deny her anyways. So she stood by, waiting impatiently for the confirmation of the Multitude's safety.
Jessi watched Wolfram. She was conflicted. On one hand she felt bad for him, but on the other hand she didn't like him, and didn't care what he was going through. He's a total jerk. But no one should have to kill their father. Not even him. He seems to be all bark no bite. Her wing twitched. She heard Toby yelling on the phone, and found it very amusing. Yup, he's totally crushing on her. But then again, who wouldn't?
"Wolfram, I am terribly sorry for what happened. There was nothing you could have done. Yes, we may fail. But we will not know until we try. The longer we sit around not doing anything, the bigger the head start the Pure get. Would you rather die curled up in the corner, or die trying to save the world? That is your choice, but whatever you decide to do, we must do it now." Jenna said softly, but sternly.
[/I]River stepped forward, eyeing him. "You're an incredibly real thing in a incredibly fake world, but you know that, don't you? That's why you're sufferin' so much. Because you're real, the world is just gonna keep attackin' you, puttin' you to your knees. Isn't that how it feels? Feels like someone is rippin' your heart out and takin' it apart, then tapin' it back together and stuffin' it back inside at an odd angle, and then repeatin' the process? It's so easy to give up. But you know what? You can't. Because then other people will have to go through it too, and you have to stick out for them, however unfair it is." She murmured, and at the end jerking her hand towards Lachlan, Finlay, and Camilla. "You know what? This is a nightmare. A real nightmare, kid. Listen to me, I can't tell you everythin' is okay, because it isn't. Nor can I tell you everythin' will be better soon, or that the pain will go away. All we-- You, can do is try to survive, Wolfram. And I'm so sorry for that, that I can't help more."
“Also, aside from lethal powers, we also have a good amount of highly lethal people on our side. And we’ve beaten the Pure three times now. The only time that they won was when they caught us off guard, and you know that’s true. No, we can’t make sure that no one else dies if we fight. But we don’t have any choice in the matter, really. Either we win or an entire race dies.” She said.
You're a incredibly real thing in a incredibly fake world. Wolfram swept his gaze around everyone, the voices overwhelming. "You're right. You're all right. " He croaked, his voice painfully quiet and hoarse. "Why you guys want to keep me around I'll never figure out, I'm pretty much useless. But...I guess I'm even more useless if I cower in the corner like a mouse." His gaze swept over to Conner, eyes narrowed. "Why would I want you to die?" He rasped, tilting his head slightly. "If I wanted you all to die, I wouldn't have taken this risks I have. If I wanted to all to die I would have let my father kill Alice, and I wouldn't have killed him. If I wanted you all to die I would have just let that Pure guy kill Bleddyn. So don't even think for a heartbeat I would ever let anyone of you get hurt if I could help it." He growled, sweeping his gaze back over the group before resting on River. "That's exactly how it feels." He murmured. Suddenly he pushed himself off the minivan, straightening up. "Alright. Lets do this thing then. What now?""You know what we have, Wolfram?" Ash broke in quietly. "We have heart. And how do I know heart works? Because I've lived all 34 years of my life being witness to the strength of empowering determination and know that mere abstract mentalities are a force to be dang reckoned with." She brushed aside obscuring strands of her own hair and looked at him for a long emphatic while. Oh, how could they all relate to the broken boy. "I know you're hurting and rightfully so, but please don't let yourself be subjugated by the very thing that could save you. We need you too much for that."
"Kid, I don't know what's going to mollify you, but you just keep condemning yourself with your negativity," Connor added in an mildly irked undertone. He gestured around at the group with a wide sweep of his arm. "Do you want us all to die? No matter what we've lost, I, for one, think we've all got still something to live for, and that's not excluding you."
Brisa smiled. There’s the old Wolfram. She thought, nodding at him happily and turning away to watch the suspiciously silent Pure vans. Why hadn’t they moved? She could still see them watching the group from inside their car. I hope they aren’t waiting for backup. A sinking feeling entered her stomach.[/I]

"First, I still don't know where Bleddyn is," Ash began slowly. Persistently fretting over the absences was the first alibi her mind supplied to keep from immediate Pure confrontation. "What about Peter and Grace- weren't they around yesterday? Do Sammy and Crow even know about this?" Her restless hand dove into the pocket of her loose cardigan and fished out her phone. "Where'd we leave Misty and the kids? Brisa, what about your mom?"
Her fingers twitched as they hovered over her vast contact list, uncertain of who to call first.
Wolfram turned stiffly and slowly to face Ash, his eyes widened. "You don't know where Bleddyn is?" A sickening pit grew in his stomach at the thought of something happening to her. "She's not at school? I brought her there this morning." His gaze flickered to Conner for a moment, before looking back at Ash. He honestly didn't care what Conner thought about him. "I heard Dyn a few minutes ago, she's somewhere in the parking lot, same for Pete and Enchanter." River stated, glancing at Ash. "And Coyote and her spawns are in that bush." She declared, pointing with her tail to the bush where a wolf's white, grey, and teal furred head peeked out of it, blue eyes unreadable. "I have no clue where Toby, Chicken, and Grace are." She muttered. "And All is asleep in Wolf's car, and Kiddo is... Where is Kiddo?"Wolfram turned stiffly and slowly to face Ash, his eyes widened. "You don't know where Bleddyn is?" A giant wave of relief crashed over Wolfram, and he finally felt like he could breathe again. "Oh thank God." "There's Kiddo." River announced triumphantly, pointing at Taylor's face.A giant wave of relief crashed over Wolfram, and he finally felt like he could breathe again. "Oh thank God." He breathed.
"If you're talking about me I'm right here." Taylor replied, walking up to them.
"You think Mikki would be up to it, even?" River mused.“My mom is at home, as far as I know. I told my parents about Tayn and they decided to not go to work today.” Brisa replied. “I’m sure that Mom would be happy to help out.”
