«We Could Be Legends»

Gee, thanks for revealing my abilities to everyone on staff, really couldn't just use my real name. Indigo was pretty sure only Toby, Jessi, and Brisa had ever called her by her real name.
"Oh, all right," the woman, wearing a tag labeled "Molly" spoke to a man who hurried into a door behind them. When he returned, they were both speaking in hushed tones. He held a large envelope, and something bulged in the bottom of it.
"Excuse me, is there a problem?" Indigo inquired politely.
"W-well, there appears to be..." Molly trailed off. Her blue eyes searched the room nervously. "Does this young man.... does he have his ID?"
Brisa glanced nervously in between “Molly” and the strange man, then at Wolfram. Now what? I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have his ID. She shot a look at Indigo, River, and Jenna as well, wondering what their reaction would be.
"What is this about?" Wolfram hissed, his hand sliding into his sweatshirt pocket as he pulled out his wallet. "I don't like silly games, lady. I just came to retrieve what my mother had." He searched his wallet and shook his head. "I have my drivers license, but I don't have my ID with me at the moment..." He said slowly, eyeing her with obvious suspicion and unease.

"Well," Molly looked nervous, glancing at the long scar that ran down his face. "We need proof. That she's your mother."
"Well, I'll have you know this young man is certainly blood of hers," Indigo said. As the large woman looked into Indigo's eyes, her nervousness faded a bit, and she seemed preoccupied all of a sudden. Already, the magic was working.

"She's my mother! I wouldn't lie about that." Wolfram snapped. He suddenly realized she was looking at the scratches on his face, and he took a step back, covering the side of his face with a forearm.

Jenna watched them talk. She could sense the woman getting nervous, and was afraid she would call security. Wolfram, keep it together. Please don't start a fight, not now. She just needs proof, no ones doubting you're her son, but just like someone selling alcohol needs to check IDs to make sure you're old enough to drink, even if you look old enough, she needs to make sure you're her son. She thought, wishing he could read minds.

"Yes, sir, I'm sure she's your mother, but..." as the woman broke eye contact she started to get nervous. Her hair stood up a little, but she let it fall down. Indigo thought she might have control over electricity.
The woman spoke with a man with smooth green skin and thinning hair in hushed tones.
"Molly," Indigo said in a soothing tone. "This man is the rightful owner of the key."

Wolfram's skin burned with electricity at the strange tone of the Enchantress' voice, his pupils going thin like a snake. Have I mentioned I hate Enchanters? He clenched a hand into a fist, letting out a low, seething hiss. She's helping us. She's helping us. She's no harm, she's helping us...or she's just helping us so we get the key, then she'll take it from us and take off and give it to the Pure!

Brisa could feel Wolfram bristling beside her as Indigo spoke. “Wolfram...” She whispered just loud enough for him to hear, putting her hand on his arm in an effort to soothe him.

Wolfram flinched at the suddenly touch, his gave drifting to where her hand rest against his arm, to her face. "Brisa..." He murmured softly, the glare in his eyes fading. "What?"

She looked up at him, meeting his gaze with her bright green one. “It’s okay.” She said quietly to him. “We’ll figure it all out. I know you don’t like Indigo, but she is helping us for some reason. We’re getting something good out of this. Just hang on a little longer.” She finished, trying to stay calm even though nerves were fluttering in her stomach. “We can do this.” She added softly, almost to herself, taking a deep breath and trying to quiet the anxious and impatient yelling in her brain. Come on, lady, believe Indigo! Hurry up!

Molly's palm clenched on the desk, but she relaxed. "Ok, all right," she muttered.
Molly spoke to the man and he returned with an envelope in his hand.
This time it was handed to Indigo, who frowned and gave it to Wolfram, pressing it into his palm gently. "Next time, bring your ID," she muttered.
The desk clerk, meanwhile, seemed to have forgotten about the whole ordeal.
