(yes i know. I've already got most of this story figured out. so it's checking to see if extra little things will fit.)
K)
(I knows.
He could still have started it. Or like somehow survived, depending on how she killed him. )
(Him starting it sounds okay.
She used a sword of like, fire or something to cut his uh head off)

(TOO FAST shoot)

on the page was a long sting of letters and numbers jumbled together. it looked like gibberish. it was too long for a key code. Maybe it was a computer password Alice thought.
"Oof. That's an ad for key maker people," Sherri sighed.

Inside the first folder was gathered news paper clippings all different sizes. Water had penetrated the first few layers of paper making the headlines on each of the pages difficult to make out. Alice leaned a bit closer, trying to make out the words. "looks like it's a picture of an activist group. I can't tell what it was for though." She reached forward to try to thumb through more pages. Missing persons ads, an unexplained explosion. This was the thinner of the two folders.
"Key," said Sherri pointing to the word 'key' on one of the papers.

"That's strange," Brisa murmured, leaning in closer. "Do you think this might be connected to what our parents did? I don't know much about what happened though. Mom doesn't really like to talk about it."

"What your parents did? What does this have to do with that?"
(Sherri is a Minnesota frosted flake. Her parents moved to Minnesota for a while after the city thing getting destroyed. Her mom didn't want her young son having to deal with it. Her dad agreed.
They moved back after Sherri turned 10.)

"I don't know. My mom and dad don't really talk about it much. They just say they saved some girl once and bad stuff happened." She frowned at the paper. "what key maker people? maybe who ever they are they made the key that the pure were looking for."

Alice frowned and picked up the sheet of paper, "Key maker people?"
"You know, those old things people twist to unlock doors? We had those at our old house in Minnesota." Sherri pointed to a black and white picture of a key on the page. "Key."

"When they saved your parents from Firestein-" Lachlan blurted, and River elbowed him in the ribs hard.

"I know what a key is." she growled. "What I meant was does it make you think of a specific company? Because maybe they have a copy of the key. Or could make one."
Alice folded the piece of paper, intend to stuff it in her pocket but she didn't want it wet, so she just held it instead.

"They did?" This was news for Sherri. Emily was still in the kitchen.
She walked in and peered at the papers, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Doing some research," Sherri explained.
"River, mind if I make dinner?" Emily pretended to be unfazed.
"I know the best thing to calm teenagers down is food." (Truth)
