Alice woke to her alarm the grey light coming from outside indicated today would be another dreary rainy day. She didn't want to pull herself from the warm blankets but she had to before her mom got home from work or she would be stuck here all day doing school work. She rolled out of bed, almost falling out, but she used her momentum to get upright and stumbling forward in one motion.

She staggered into the bathroom and got a quick shower, it was probably going to be the only time she was warm today, but if she lingered her mom would be home before she was done.

Alice dried herself and pulled on a pink t-shirt, a denim overall-style dress, and black leggings.

"Camilla?" She yelled loud enough through her wall, that if she was awake she'd be able to hear her. "I'm going back to River's, are you coming?"

Camilla smirked as she exited her room, wearing a grey t-shirt, denim jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots. "Yeah, of course I'm coming, who wouldn't?" She said. "Let's get out of here before Mom shows her face."

River pushed open the door from her bedroom, as she had expected, she hadn't slept a wink. She stumbled down the hallway and down the stairs.
The house was silent, Zen was out of town working, there was no visitors unlike usual, Finlay was off at a friend's house, Lachlan was... Taken. The dogs were even unnaturally quiet. The silence would usually bring peace to River, but now she only shuddered from it. And when Peterson or Scorch did make the slightest noise, she jumped, as if expecting the Pure to be there.
I need to get out of here, I need to find Lachlan and Bleddyn and Wolfram... She thought, gritting her teeth, and she started hunting for a pen or pencil and paper to explain everything encase someone stopped by.

Camilla smirked as she exited her room, wearing a grey t-shirt, denim jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots. "Yeah, of course I'm coming, who wouldn't?" She said. "Let's get out of here before Mom shows her face."

Alice smirked and nodded to her little sister, somehow today she wasn't quite as lame as she had always been. She pocketed the piece of paper that had the key symbol in the chest pocket, along with the police guys business card that she had written the address on the night before. Then led the way down the stairs, her feet gliding between each step, with barely a pause.

She stuffed her feet into her sneakers, and grabbed the light blue rain coat, tossing it over her shoulders. She wasn't going to be a drowned rat today.

"Let's go." She said with a mischievous smile.

Nash slipped out of Fritz's hands, almost as if he hated being called a good boy, and darted across the street to Brisa wagging his tail and jumping. Fritz rushed over and regained control over him. "Heh, sorry about that. He really like new people.", Fritz said, reaching down to pet Nash.

Jessi turned to Fritz. "Hi! Your dog is really cute. Can I pet him?" Jessi asked.

As Alice and Camilla got close to Rivers they spotted Jessi, Brissa, and Fritz.

"Hey!" Alice called walking over. "Hey Fritz what's up?" (they're the same age I'm sure they know each other.)

"Hey guys!" Jessi waved. Poor River is going to have to deal with so many people again. Maybe I should just go home. Nah, I didn't come here just to go home. "I don't know if anyone's home, I knocked but there wasn't an answer."

Emily arrived at the IHop and ordered a small stack, waiting.
Indigo showed up, ordering a coffee. They stared at each other for a while.
"Well?" Emily asked.
"I apologize for what happened yesterday," Indigo said. "Your daughter was captured by the Pure. They are against inhumans, I'm afraid. Oddly, it was started by an inhuman himself. Things evolve over time," she sighed.

"Hey guys!" Jessi waved. Poor River is going to have to deal with so many people again. Maybe I should just go home. Nah, I didn't come here just to go home. "I don't know if anyone's home, I knocked but there wasn't an answer."

"River, Lachlan, and Wolf-Raven-Cat-Boy should be here. They're probably just still asleep. How long ago did you knock?"
