«We Could Be Legends»

But I know how you feel! Let your guard down, Wolfram, Let it DOWN! Tell her! Help her, Wolfram! She needs it! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! Wolfram's mind screeched like a wild wolf on the hunt, it relentless howls splitting through the cold, solid night air as it chased it's prey. He was silent for a agonizingly long and slow five minutes."But I do care."He couldn't. How? How had he let those words escape his mouth, when he had forbidden to ever do so again? After everyone that abandoned him, turned a cold shoulder? "What if I care more then you think?" He trembled, suddenly remembering how cold the empty van was."I know how it feels. To not feel wanted. Feeling like just given up. Wanting to die. I know how it feels." Suddenly a screaming, snarling whirlwind of enraged power swam through his head, threatening to snap the very threads of sanity he had sewn together. NO! NO! The last time you did this it ended badly! Wolfram, NO! How could you.....You swore never to let those secrets out, ever again. A lump form in his throat, his face betraying no sign of the whirlwind of emotion inside.
Blood dripped to the floor, and he threw himself against the bathroom cabinet, sobbing. Glistening crimson blood ran down his arms, staining the white tile on the floor. The bathroom door nob shuddering. No...His mother was home. And she heard his sobs of pain. The door opened, and a look of sheer horror was plastered on his mother's face. Of course it was, if you saw what she saw."I don't want to stay in this world anymore."
(Why
I'm just
Let me
*stolls into happy dino paradise*)

There was something very wrong here. She could no longer ignore that his words were influenced by the empathy that only comes from the endurance of the same miseries.
She flung wild eyes onto his, suddenly unable to take and refute any more of this.
"Well, don't care, okay?! Just don't!" The crazed cry was panicked, something intelligible born of her earlier frantic pleas for freedom. "Let's go back to enemies who just don't."
"Please." Her loaded demands died off into a desperate whisper, her brow furrowing hard as she struggled to reign herself back into guarded composure.

The blackness was everywhere now, biting at the heels of the last fragments of light in her vision and herding them out of reach. Bleddyn no longer had reason to resist it- in fact, she couldn't wait to go. She let her eyes shut hard this time, hurrying her escape.
Then she was falling, falling into the liberating night created by her head.

Jessi glanced up. "Hey!" Jessi said & waved at Brisa. "You're Brisa, right? I'm Jessi."
Brisa glanced up and floated to a stop in front of Jessi. "Hi! Yeah, I'm Brisa. Were you going to River's to check out the Pure stuff again?" She asked, glad she wasn't going to have to go up and knock awkwardly on River's front door and shyly ask if she could come in and look at files on the people that had tried to capture Wolfram the night before, not to mention having to face Wolfram while looking at pictures of his dead mom and her crazy murderous psycho best friend who had tried to kill him while he would probably be standing there breathing down her neck preparing to kill her for even daring to attempt to ask any questions on that subject. That's not going to happen! Calm down. She told herself. Besides, maybe Jessi will agree to come with you.

"Yep! Is that where you're going?" Jessi asked. She saw a boy across the street walking his dog.

(Sorry for the short posts, my brain hasn't been too creative today)

Frosty paced. "Of course, I had to complain about the weather! It's all my fault those four kids were taken. And then I got my wing broken, and ran away like a coward! I'm a shame to chickenkind." He kicked a pebble in frustration. "I can't even handle the simple job of surveillance. I'm utterly useless!" Well, rolling in your self-pity won't help, corn-head. He let out an indignant huff. "Then I guess I'll just have to be helpful." Frosty said, thinking out loud. He sighed. And that means I'll have to talk to Indigo.

Indigo stared at the retreating van. Yeah, run, cowards! Somehow this made her feel better.
She looked into the tree. "Frosty."

(That's fine!)
Brisa nodded. "Mmhmm, I am. My mom dragged me home last night, so I didn't get to study it well enough." She held up her phone. "Brought this so I can take some pictures this time, and so I can look stuff up. " Hopping off her hoverboard, she started up the driveway, her tennis shoes crunching on some loose asphalt, and noticed a vaguely familiar boy walking a dog. "Do you know him?" She asked, nodding in his direction. "He looks a little familiar. Could just be someone from school, though."

"That's smart." Jessi said. "I had to go before it got super dark. I don't feel comfortable flying alone in the dark, even though I could take on anyone who would be stupid enough to mess with me. I guess I could've called Toby to pick me up, but where's the fun in that?" Her heels clicked on the driveway. "No I don't, though I think I might've seen him at school."

(Frosty hasn't been in the tree for a long time. XD
He's somewhere in town, since he ran after the Pure broke his wing. He'll find Indigo later.)
