«We Could Be Legends»

We know they're dangerous, they Kidnapped our friends! Jessi thought. "What do you know of the cat-lady?" She asked the man.
Alice thrummed her fingers against the counter, watching the shopkeeper through guardedly slit eyes.
Unlike the others, she had no problem with announcing her distrust through her body language while simultaneously evaluating his. She hadn't detected too many actions key in betraying a lie, but that didn't mean she neglected to find him suspicious.
For one, just what he'd rambled to them so far was setting off a few bells in her head. He knows Aunt River and that Maple character?

Blood pooled around her limp body. Warm, sticky liquid coating her skin, hair and clothes, and the concrete floor. Mapleshade's ragged breathing was the only noise in the now silent hall. She caught a glimpse of Zion shielding the rest of his pathetic friends. As if I can do anything, I can hardly see... She felt a pair of arms lift her off the ground, a guard lifting her from the ground. Not any guard, though.
Wolfram's father.
Michael looked up from Mapleshade's body, his masked eyes landing on a crumpled, sobbing figure behind Zion. He knew those blue, cat like eyes anywhere."Kill him!"He snarled to a group of guards.
(What?! 0.o ohhhh my.)

(*silently ponders if I should drop facts or not*
Actually, he didn't just break up with her :D
That's all I'll say)

They think she's awkward? They obviously don't know much about me... Peter watched what was happening at the counter. He crept closer, examining the cheerful man. He didn't seem like the type to be allied with a powerful secret organization that kidnapped people. Then again, appearances could be misleading.
"Guys," Grace muttered, darting glances at the man. "Maybe we shouldn't just go and tell him everything." What are they thinking? He could be one of the Pure!
The man-- Who's name tag said 'Thomas', kept his gaze on the wyvern-lady, completely ignoring the other three. "Hmm, perhaps. River? Not really, I was told about her from a old friend." Tom shrugged, lazily glancing at the others. They weren't exactly threatening. He looked back to the wyvern-person. "The Pure ain't anybody you want to mess with. They're dangerous. But uh... You mentioned a cat-lady? I've heard of her before."

He's heard of them? Who is he? Brisa wondered, turning her gaze back to the man-Thomas. As much as she feared Wolfram, she had felt the fear, sadness, and confused anger emanating from him and had seen the lost look in his eyes, and she wanted to help him. Which meant that she had to learn more about Mapleshade. Which was mortifying enough before she had started to learn more about her. And how the heck would he know about Aunt River?
(Just wondering, but is Brisa's thermal heat and X-ray vision gonna help, or should she deactivate it? It gives her headaches if she uses it for too long.)

"You really want me to believe you? What kind of sick, twisted lie is that?!"His eyes glittered a guarded anxious anger. He met the eyes of his ex-girlfriend, Lily."Please...Please take me back Wolf, I love you. I won't hurt you ever again, I swear."She pleaded, her voice thick with emotion."Really? Maybe you shouldn't have hurt me the first time. You're a lying cheater!"He hissed, jerking his hand back defensively when she tried to grab him."I was wrong, Wolfram! I swear I'll never hurt you again, I swear! I l-" "No." Wolfram cut in, his voice firm, holding no emotion."W-what do you mean no?"Lily whispered."I'm not taking you back! I put my trust in you, I loved you more then you know. But I can't trust you now, not after what you did. Leave me alone."He turned away from her, silently walking out of the house. Walking up his apartment, he threw his sweatshirt on the ground."Mom I'm-"He stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening in horror."Mom?!"

(Funny thing is, when I was writing this I got a add for a clothing site called ModLily....)

(I have a weird conspiracy theory. What if this old man is an immortal, and he's the one who gave Gage the comic books in the prologue of WCBH!)
(Actually pretty sure thats who it is. Though he's not supposed to be immortal he's just stinking old 70's ish.)

(It might be of use later. Not here.)
