)Brisa glanced back as Peter and Grace entered the shop, unsure of what to do.
(Sorry for the short post)
Jessi walked in after everyone. She looked around the shop. "This isn't so bad." She said quietly. "I was thinking it was going to look like the outside."
"Same." Brisa laughed a little, but she still couldn't shake the feeling of unease. "What exactly should we ask him?" She asked, indicating the old man behind the counter. "We can't just go up and say, 'Hi, did you make a key for an insane, murderous cat-woman? And if so, what was it for?'."
Brisa turned, shock and nerves flitting over her features. "Me? I am so socially awkward. I'll mess it up!"
"Just say: 'did you sell a key to a woman with cat ears?' If he says yes ask him what it was for. Simple." Jessi said, smiling.
"O-Okay." Brisa turned uncertainly and headed toward the counter. On her way, she thought of something. She closed her eyes for about two seconds, and when she opened them, they were not the bright green that they usually were, but a dark olive with flame-colored flecks in them. Using her newly activated X-ray and thermal vision, she glanced around the shop, seeing her fiery warm friends and the cold spots where the keys were hanging. (IDK if this will be useful). Reaching the counter, she face the man and spoke. "Did you-" Her voice came out as a whisper. Clearing her throat, she tried again. "Did you possibly sell a key?" The man gave her a weird look. "Um, to a woman with ears-cat ears-and black and ginger hair?" She cringed internally at her jumbled sentences.
They think she's awkward? They obviously don't know much about me... Peter watched what was happening at the counter. He crept closer, examining the cheerful man. He didn't seem like the type to be allied with a powerful secret organization that kidnapped people. Then again, appearances could be misleading.Jessi snickered. It was quite amusing seeing Brisa awkwardly trying to talk to the man. "You know, maybe Camilla should take over. She seems like she would be less awkward." She said quietly to Brisa and shrugged, taking a few steps back.
The man paused, then the bright smile returned to his face. "No, young miss. Haven't even seen a cat-lady with black and ginger hair. I mean, may have seen her, I don't know, but haven't sold a key to her. My apologies that I wasn't able to help." He said politely. "Anything else I can help ya with?"
"This is-- Ergha, maybe Aunt River found something from that Enchanter or the Pure." Camilla hissed at Brisa and Jessi, glancing around.
"What? I mean--" He blurted, then his smile faded, replaced by worry. Great. Just great, he had to go and run his big mouth. "Uh, couldn't help hearing you saying something about an enchanter and the Pure, what business do you have with them folk? They're no good to be involved with."
Jessi walked closer towards him. "Do you know them? Have you ever heard of an enchanted named Indigo Alan?" She asked. Part of her hoped he never heard of her, after all, her brother was last seen with her.
"Uh..." Shut up, shut up, shut up you old fool! "Well, uh, yes, in a way." His eyes flicked over Jessi. "Do I know you? I feel like I know you." He said, silently hopping to change the subject.
Jessi stepped closer, concern in her eyes. "What all do you know about her? Please, this is important." She paused. "No, I don't think you know me."
"Huh, you look a lot like someone I met a long time ago... Oh uh, Indigo? She's weird but harmless. She's no one to worry about. The Pure... How do you know about them? And uh, you mentioned a River, would that be a River Katrina Fleur?" He said.
Brisa stopped scanning and turned her eerily flame-specked gaze back on him. "We can tell you know something. And we need to know as much as we can about the Pure." Influenced by the anxiety seeming off of Jessi, her voice had a slightly threatening tone that she was unaware of.
"Guys," Grace muttered, darting glances at the man. "Maybe we shouldn't just go and tell him everything." What are they thinking? He could be one of the Pure! She stared at the man. "You might've seen my dad. We want to know about the Pure, since they attacked us and kidnapped some of our friends. Yeah, that River. Do you know her?"

The man-- Who's name tag said 'Thomas', kept his gaze on the wyvern-lady, completely ignoring the other three. "Hmm, perhaps. River? Not really, I was told about her from a old friend." Tom shrugged, lazily glancing at the others. They weren't exactly threatening. He looked back to the wyvern-person. "The Pure ain't anybody you want to mess with. They're dangerous. But uh... You mentioned a cat-lady? I've heard of her before."They think she's awkward? They obviously don't know much about me... Peter watched what was happening at the counter. Without another glance at Fritz, Bleddyn silently slunk after Indigo. She pressed against the tunnel wall to maneuver around Indigo, crowning herself the head of the group. She took the stairs recklessly and ended up teetering on her feet once she'd made it out into the blinding light of day. Well, I could've prepared my eyes better."Ok, to my car. We're going to the Multitude base. Sherri and Emily are going to Jessi, so she can access Toby's car," Indigo said, walking back toward the steps out of the tunnel.
(Camilla peered out the window, glancing over the area. The building was tiny, brick, and had dark windows. A large sign on the building, with white, fancy letters said 'Locksmith and Smith'. As they passed the doors by she saw a sign saying the hours-- Eight to five.
There were multiple trees on the property around the building, they were dead looking, having no leaves, the street was empty too, and almost no cars garnished the parking lot. Along with this the rain added to the spooky sense, and Camilla shivered-- partly from the cold crisp air. "Your not gonna have a problem with that. There's no one here! But, would you get a parking space near the doors? I'm not hoping to walk in the rain and cold."
)(I realized this last night....Bleddyn is still barefoot)Without another glance at Fritz, Bleddyn silently slunk after Indigo. Fritz, after a long moment of resentful brooding at both himself and her, followed meekly.
(Of course she is and always will be.)(I realized this last night....Bleddyn is still barefoot)
(Oof didnt realize he just broke up with lily.)"If I hadn't stayed to argue with Lily, I would have been home before Mapleshade had time to kill her. "Wolfram whispered, his words drowned out by Lachlan still speaking."She deserved to have a child better then me. Someone who wasn't broken inside. I wouldn't be surprised if she was disappointed in me. She should be."He gripped onto consciousness like his life depended on it, not making a effort to move from that spoke."She deserved a son or daughter who doesn't hate themselves."
(*silently ponders if I should drop facts or not*(Oof didnt realize he just broke up with lily.)
