«We Could Be Legends»

"My mom," she took a breath, forcing herself past the emotions that were biting at the edge of her mind. "My mom, gave me a blue crystal, that supposedly could heal anything. It healed Gage, when he had this same stuff dumped on him." She broke her eye's away from his piercing gaze, "Since I can heal I didn't think it was a big deal. I, I gave it away to get the files. But I know where they grow. I went there with Bleddyn last year. We could go get more."
Wolfram snarled threateningly at Taylor, and for once the red-head backed up slowly. He looked back at Alice, nodding slowly. "If it heals like you say, then it might just work..." He responded slowly, eyes flicking with thought. "Maybe..." He broke off, glancing back at her when she looked away. "Are you alright?" He asked softly.

Toby shoved his keys in his pocket. "Maybe because he's scared you could be working for Mapleshade. I know I would be. You could be posing as a good guy to gain information to send it to the bad guys." He said staring at her. His dark purple eyes were wide and surprisingly blank, to the point of being almost creepy, despite the fact that he didn't physically look dangerous.
Taylor turned back to him, blinking. "Working for Mapleshade would be defying everything I have ever believed in. Everything I've worked for. Wolfram knows that. I know even someone who would be lying would say that...but you guys have to believe me. I want to help you." Peculiar....Violet eyes.

"Of course someone lying would say that. To be honest, I might trust someone - or as close to trusting someone as I can - who said they were actually working for the bad guy. I mean, at least then I would know. Besides, for all I know she threatened someone you loved. If someone threatened Jessi or Charlie, I would kill hundreds of people without hesitation if it meant they would be okay." Toby frowned. "What?" He asked confused, as she seemed to pay closer attention to his eyes.

"Yeah!" She answered way too quickly, plastering a fake smile on her face. Good job, now he know's you're not. Alice glanced at Camilla she didn't want to leave her, but they couldn't just sit here all day. They had to do something before the Pure decided they weren't cooperating. "Dyn's parents are still upstairs, and Jessi's mom's still here, so she won't be alone. It's a ways out of town, we should go get it before they start thinking we aren't going to give them what they want." Alice stood, a grim determination etched into her face.

Taylor nodded slowly. "What? Oh...nothing. Just your eyes, they're...." She paused, searching for a word. "Peculiar. Violet. I've never seen eyes like yours before, that's all."

Wolfram was very unconvinced with her fake smile. Sighing, he nodded. "Taylor! Leave Toby alone, stop nagging him. I'll tell you about the key soon, I promise. I have to help Alice with something. We'll be back as soon as we can be." He looked back at Alice, the same determination on his face. "Alright lets do this then. Are you sure you're going to be ok?"

"They're just purple. Honestly, I kinda wish they were a normal color. But whatever, can't change them without contacts." Toby said, disappointedly.

"I think they look really cool. I'd love to have violet eyes." She shrugged. Sighing when she heard Wolfram's words, she glanced at the door. "I better be leaving then, I won't bother you anymore..."
