«We Could Be Legends»

Alice jumped in the back with the other two, Taylor being pushed to the middle. "So I guess Aunt Riv, you can tell him how to get there."

(I'll write up a description of the place tomorrow. :D )

Toby glanced at Taylor, who got smushed next to him. He was excited to see the cave for the first time. He had seen the crystals before, but only because Jenna used to wear one as a necklace. One day it had disappeared, and he never saw it again. He looked back out the window.

"Reckless driving. Ask Bleddyn." Wolfram stated simply.

"Excuse me?!" Taylor stormed to the car, and got into the back seat, snarling. "I really hope you didn't just call me mental!"

"Taylor, I recommend shutting up right about now. And I am not mental." Wolfram snapped.

"How did you hear me?!" Taylor yelped.
"I just did." Wolfram muttered.

River hardly heard Alice, her head twisted around to look back at Taylor, an amused smile on her face. "You get that three people just died, right? Including his mother and my brother. We have all the right to be a little mental, not you." She said, her voice blank. "But yeah, Taylor, I just called you mental. And if I ever hear you call Wolfram mental again, you won't like it, kiddo." She growled, her voice dripping with poison. "You got that, kid? You got some problems yourself if you think you can just call people mental and not get told off. Now, are you gonna shut up and let us go, or are you just gonna yap at us uselessly, be in the way, or other wise annoying?"

Brisa looked up from her fruitless online searching, having overheard their conversation. “Do you want me to help?” She asked. “I’m pretty good at math. For example.” She said, pointing out one of Jessi’s “find the equation of a line” problems, “You should have flipped the slope instead of keeping it because it says, ‘a line that is perpendicular,’ instead of parallel.”
Yris looked over to Brisa and gave her a little wave, before responding to Jessi "That'd be great, I'll give you my number or something after class." After a considerate amount of time to make sure she was done speaking with Brisa, Yris asked Brisa quietly "What happened the other day? I'm sorry I left, the school called and wanted me back immediately, so I had to go or else they'd force me back. What happened..."

"After the fight at the park, everyone went to aunt River's house." Jessi replied. She didn't know how much to tell her. She glanced at Brisa and Fritz.

"Oh yes I forgot, his momma just died. To bad, huh? She was the only one that kept you sane, right Wolfy?" Taylor taunted, glaring at River all the while. She crossed her arms, unfazed by the females threats. "Really Wolfy, it's sad how much you depend on others."

Wolfram gripped the steering wheel hard, his knuckles turning white. "Taylor, you want to know something?" He growled, the engine of the car roaring to life.
"What's that, Wolfy?" She cooed.
"I have pretty good aim with weapons, and if you value your pathetic life even a little bit, I would shut up."
He glanced in the mirror, unable to hide the grin of triumph that crossed his face when the teenage witch just gaped at him, before snarling and looking out the window.
"Good." He muttered. "Dare insult me or my mother like that again you'll pay." He hissed under his breath. "Which way, River?"

Alice stared at Taylor mouth hanging open, she instantly regretted telling her she could come along. She wanted to punch the smug girl in the face.

Alice turned away from her, and glared out the window. Wolfram seemed able to take care of himself, and fighting wasn't going to help anything. "It's north of town." She growled. "Take 3rd Ave. out of town, one of us will let you know when you're getting close."

Wolfram nodded, backing out of the driveway and taking off down the road.

Taylor hissed softly as the car accelerated rather quickly. "Wolfram!" She snarled, glaring daggers at the front seat.
"Yes, Taylor?" Wolfram hissed, a foot slamming down on the gas.
"Slow down."
"Why?" Wolfram growled. "I know what I'm doing."
"You're going to get us killed going that fast! Or someone else killed, or a speeding ticket and God knows you don't need one of those right now!"
Wolfram didn't take his eyes of the road, but his hands gripped the steering wheel tightly in frustration. "I know how to drive, Taylor. I drove Bleddyn to school this way and she was perfectly fine. I've driven with my mother this way and she was fine. If I thought someone was in danger I wouldn't drive like this. So shut up." He could hear her muttering to herself. He rolled his eyes, taking a sharp left out of town.

Brisa smiled. “It’s fine. I assumed that something like that happened.” After Jessi spoke, she nodded hesitantly. “Some other stuff happened too.” She finished quietly, unsure if she should have said that. She trusted Yris and had known her for a while, but the others didn’t know her very well and she didn’t want to anger anybody. “Um,” she glanced at the others to see if there were any devil glares coming her way. “It’s a long story...”

Jessi looked back to Yris. "Meet us after school. We can tell you what happened then. That is, if you want to know." She said.

Toby stared out the window, watching everything speed past. He wanted to turn on the radio to help drown out their bickering, but he wouldn't be able to reach it, and Wolfram looked like he would be mad at more distractions. He shot a glare at Taylor, one that clearly said 'shut up'.

"If you keep talking, kiddo, I'm gonna shove you out of this car all the while we are moving, and laugh when I hear you get crushed under the wheels." River snarled manically, turning away from Taylor.

"Kiddo, shut up and let him drive."
