«We Could Be Legends»

"Yeah." She said squinting at their surroundings. "Yeah I think it is." Alice hopped out of the car. The path ahead was over grown with grass and other weeds, old tire tracks on either side were sunken down and filled with water from the previous days rain. She didn't wait for anyone else to get out of the car before taking off up the path, pushing through hanging branches as she skirted the path avoiding the pools of water. Thorns grabbed at her leggings, ripping a decent sized hole as she pulled away. She wasn't really dressed for this, still wearing the denim dress from yesterday. Alice sighed, at least her dress was denim, and would keep the thorns off of her for the most part.

Toby jumped out of the car and followed her down the path. He pushed some of the thorny branches out of his way, seeming unaware of the cuts on his hands he was getting from them. He glanced behind him at the others, and jogged up to Alice. "This place is really cool." He said, looking around.

Wolfram didn't wait for River, Toby or Taylor, instead he just got out of the car, instantly shifting into his cat form. Holding one leg, his front injured one, off the ground, he slid through the thorns, catching up with Alice. He glanced around, taking in his surroundings carefully. He glanced at Alice, suddenly scenting something familer. Blood.... Then he saw the source of the scent. Her leggings at a hole ripping in them, the thorns snatching her skin and cutting it. Not much at all, but enough that beads of blood welled from the scratches. He sank low to the ground to avoid a batch of thorns, hissing as he was forced to put weight on his injured leg. He appeared on the other side of the thicket, instantly shifting into his human form. Panting, he glanced at Alice. "Are you alright?"

Taylor leapt from the car, walking through the thorn thickets like it was nothing. "Cool indeed. Very mystical. Very..." A bird caught her eye, a large black raven swooping through the trees. "Almost ominous..."

"Taylor will you shut up already? You and your stupid omens aren't going to help us."

Toby walked a little faster, hoping to get out of earshot of Taylor and Wolfram. He was tired of hearing them arguing. Why can't they just ignore each other? I mean seriously, they don't seem to like each other, so they should ignore each other. He thought.

Alice looked up at him smiling. "Yeah it is. The path opens up into a big clearing up ahead, the caves are awesome." Her smile fell from her face, memories of the last time she had been here resurfacing.

"I'm fine," She hadn't even noticed she had scraped her leg. "When did you hurt your arm?"

Toby smiled at her. He looked concerned when her face fell. He wanted to ask if she was okay, but thought better of it. Sometimes asking if people are okay makes whatever was wrong worse. He offered her a friendly smile, one that said if she ever needed to talk he was there. Toby continued to walk down the path, staring around at all the trees.

River slid from the car, easily catching up to the others, and walking at a surprisingly fast speed, ignoring the thorns that whipped around her, scratching crimson cuts into her arms and hands. "Been awhile since I was last here." She murmured, hardly knowing she had said it, lost in deep thought.
The battle field was close, and she was certain that eerie skeletons still littered it. "Look, pretty or not, let's get the healing crystals and go. I'd rather not spend time here, especially when Mapleshade is out looking for that key." She growled roughly, her eyes flickering from place to place.

Wolfram glanced at River, nodding. He looked back at Alice, exhaustion pulling at him. "I just scraped it while we where fighting the Pure. It's nothing, really." He shrugged, continuing along the path.

Taylor shoved past Toby, jogging up to Wolfram who shot her a glare. "You act like your life is the worst thing in the world. Like your life is falling apart. Lighten up some, will you?" She muttered.
What she didn't expect, was the power behind a punch from a certain blue eyed boy, that send her flying. She snarled, her back hitting the truck of a weeping willow tree with a soft thud.
"Say that again you'll get much worse!" Wolfram hissed. "Shut up, or I'll make you. Forever." Just to prove his point he pulled the knife out of his pocket, snapping it open. The blade glinted in the light, looking dangerously sharp.
"Alright, alright. You can put the weapon down now, kitty-boy." Taylor huffed, straightening up.

"Watch it." Toby growled when Taylor shoved past him. "Both if you enough! I get it, you hate each other, blah blah blah. But for once, shut up." He said, standing between them.

"You-" Wolfram jerked the knife forward, the tip of the blade pointing at Toby. "-Don't break up my conversations. You-" He jerked the knife upwards, towards Taylor. "Shut up and keep to yourself. And you-" He whirled around to Alice and River. He snapped the knife shut, shoving in into his pocket. "Just keep doing whatever you're doing."
