Ash saluted to River agreeably. "Sure, chilling out here's fine by me."

Bleddyn, meanwhile, hopped onto another car's bumper and luxuriously pantomimed eating out of a popcorn container. "Jenna, if you do decide to go after him, I'd be more than happy to hop in."
"You will not be involved in any more fights today, young lady." A firm hand clamped down on her shoulder and Bleddyn pivoted to see her furless father. His stern face took the menacing tone much further, but even still Bleddyn couldn't find it in her to fear him. "And certainly not with him."
"I hate you so much, Dad," she retorted hotly, shrugging his huge hand off.
"How blind are you really?" Wolfram pivoted around to look at Bleddyn and her father. "I will never, ever hurt your daughter. I don't know how many times I have to say it to get it into your think skull, but I will never hurt her. Maybe I am just a unstable freak you don't know, but trust me, I won't let harm come to her, or any of you, if I can help it."

"Bleddyn, no. No one is fighting each other, not here, not now." Jenna said sternly. These children need to calm down. If they keep fighting each other we will all die. But I guess that's what happens when you mix a bunch of teenagers together, most of them with anger issues.

Half-awed and half-amused, Ash gave a whistle of admiration for Wolfram's audacity in countering her agitated husband and took a step out of the way.

Connor turned sharply to face the offending boy. "That's fine. I appreciate your saying it." He quickly pocketed his left hand when he realized it would be acting on its own in journeying toward Wolfram's neck. "But the fact that you find yourself to have grounds to contradict me right here? I don't think that's the kind of attitude I want around my family."
Throughout this, he kept a stoic face and his tone, albeit deep, was civil.
"Additionally, to be frank, yes- I know nothing about you. Tell me I don't have a right to wish you- or any questionable individual, for that matter- away from my child." He cleared his throat with a nettled growl when his voice reached another unacceptably dangerous low. "But today, we're forced together in this dire situation. And, for now, I'm ready to respect you if you'll give me the same courtesy."

Misty plopped out of the car and shifted back into human form, leaning against the van. After listening to the group of adults and children bicker for some time she finally had enough. She turned to them and lashed her tail as she spoke.
"Are you really going to keep bickering or are you going to do something productive?" She growled. "Put your personal issues and feelings aside, people. We are in a war. We should be plotting against the Pure, not arguing about if Wolfram will take care of Bleddyn. Who in my opinion can take care of herself, especially at this age. As one who was in a war my entire life, I know first hand that the problems of the world come first."

Wolfram glanced at Ash for half a heartbeat, acknowledging her with a barely noticible nod before his gaze drifted back to Connor. He gave away nothing of what he was thinking, though he looked slightly uneasy. "Sorry if my attitude isn't top notch at the moment. But I wouldn't have spoken up if I didn't think it should have been said. You have every right to not want me around you or your family, but I am not going to just stay silent when you are continuously believing I am going to hurt your daughter, when I have absolutely no intention of doing so." His gaze hardened at Connor's last words, and his gave a stiff shake of his head. "I'll give you respect, but I'd be lying if I said I trusted you."

"Will you shut up? Just because you have been at war your whole life doesn't mean the rest of us have." Wolfram snapped, "I'm really trying to not be a jerk here, but all of you are slowing making me go insane. I can't even think straight. You aren't helping Misty, nor is Jessi or Jenna or Connor." He paused, forcing his anger down, "now, for the fourth time, lets get this poison, and get out of here."

Connor disbelievingly raised a brow when Wolfram went after Misty. "Just because I don't like you doesn't mean I'm going to kill you, kid," he commented dryly and backed off.

"Does he ever stop?" he muttered to his wife when he'd come to her side. "I mean, does he not know he's speaking to stable and experienced adults?"
"Shush." Ash tapped his mouth with a finger. "He's going through a lot."
Connor frowned and continued anyway, keeping his disapproval audible to her only. "That doesn't exactly give him an excuse for a complete lack of respect."

Wolfram huffed, rolling his eyes. People seriously have to learn to not call me kid. I'm eighteen!
He glanced at Bleddyn with a unreadable expression, before glancing back at Brisa, and motioned for Brisa, Jenna and River to drop it and go into the bank.

"No, I will not shut up. Just because you haven't been at war doesn't mean that this isn't a game Wolfram, you can and will die if you keep acting like this. Are you really willing to lose one of the most valuable assets in this war? A veteran from another dimension is an extremely valuable asset. She then overlooked him, her eyes full of malice. "If the circumstances were just slightly different, child, I would have ripped your throat out long ago. And all the pitiful drama between you and anyone you know would dissipate. Especially with Mapleshade," she spat then turned her back to Wolfram, facing Connor and Ash.

She looked over her shoulder at the cat-boy with cold eyes.
"One more thing, Wolfram. A wise man once told me, age has nothing to do with maturity. You could be 35 and still be a 4 year old. It is how you perceive things that makes you mature. Take notice of how no one takes you seriously and reflect on your choices. Just because you're 18 doesnt mean you're an adult. Grow up. Act your age. Because right now you're acting like a pup who didnt get their daily 4 gallons of milk."

Sherri stuck out a lip and glared as Wolfram alternated between girls in argument. Help us or shut up! she thought.
It seemed appropriate for her own choice words. But that would go out and obliterate her own principles in these situations, so she stood. After all, that would make her no better than that Wolf character.
