“Thanks, you’re probably right,” Brisa responded, leaning against Jessi. “I’m fine if the police don’t come, it’s just that there are just so many injured people that need help and not that many healers.”
“Sadly, the only person I know with medical knowledge is sleeping...” Jessi trailed off, looking at the van. She turned her attention back to Brisa. “You’re right, there’s not a lot of healers here. But at the rate they’re working, everyone should be better in no-time.” Jessi kept the uncertainty out of her voice. She wasn’t sure if what she was saying was true, but so far it looked like it was. No one had died because of their injuries yet, and she didn’t count Connor, Sherri, or Jenna.
She gave Brisa another small squeeze with her wing, hoping Brisa would be comforted by her words.
