*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

(Gonna get started on Meredith now, just so we have a place to begin with.)

Meredith had been awake for days, and nearly felt dead. She had visited one of the old, abandoned homes when she first woke up, and borrowed some blankets and food and went on her way to find people. But the thing was, she didn't find any. She couldn't find any more houses, the blanket still didn't keep out the cold now that it had gotten wet, and then froze, and her high heels and knee-length dress didn't do very well to keeping her cozy.

Her red lips were coated in a thin layer of frost, and her tangled hair while blown in the wind whipped her face with an uncomfortable amount of ice. She pressed the cold blanket to her body in hopes of warmth, but it didn't help much.

"Behind a secret panel," Janette said, shrugging slightly as if it were the most normal thing. She dragged a sack of potatoes out into the dim light that the windows let in the kitchen. "These should come in handy," she said thoughtfully.

(Ohhhh Gaaar! How expansive can we allow our imaginations on the land and buildings? :D )

(How are those potatoes still good?! )

Nora looked at all the food and a thought crossed her mind. As of right now they only had one backpack. She hoped to find some others or some sort of pack to carry the food back to the cave in, but as of right now they had more food then would fit. Not to mention only three people to carry it back over several miles. "Yes they could, hell any of this stuff will be useful. We should check the others houses to see if there are any other packs to carry things in, as well as other food and such. Then maybe whatever we can't fit or carry we could put back here in this pantry until we can come back. That should hopefully keep it safe and sound I think. Unless you have any ideas?" She asked Janette in case she had thought of something she had not.

Nigel carried the blanket wrapped clothes into the kitchen where the two women were looking over a mountain of food. His eyes bulged as his stomach growled, empty after the long walk to the houses. He pushed the hunger aside and put the blanket on the table reveling the clothes. "This was all I found, will any of this work?" Nigel asked them curiously, not really confident in his discovery considering what they had found. There were many t-shirts, a few pairs of pants and socks, a long sleeved shirt and one pair of shoes.

The land's a frozen tundra; I would think that would keep enough food okay :p )

"I don't think anything's going to go anywhere, so I don't see a hurry to get beyond what we need immediately," Janette said reasonably. When Nigel returned, she went over to see what he had found in his search. "Yeah, this'll come in use," she confirmed. If this weren't a matter of life or death, she would have felt very odd using clothes of unknown, like dead, people.

"True enough, we can pack up as much food as we can carry in the backpack, then see if one of the others houses has another backpack for clothes and medical supplies. I wonder if one of these houses would work better then our cave?" Nora mussed as she looked around the kitchen trying to asses any damage to the house.

Nigel quietly went to the food and picked up a can of what claimed to be fruit and opened it and began eating. He was hungry and he was sure no one would mind if one can was eaten early. "If one of you shows me how to look for hidden places such as this one I can go look into one of the other houses to save time." Nigel added between bites.

"Yeah. Really, any case or box would do," Janette said. She stood from the kneeling position she had taken on the floor and went over to the pantry. "Look, Nigel," she said, directing his attention to the pantry door which she closed. She then ran the flat of her hand over the wall, pressing every few inches until the wall clicked quietly. "Knocking is good too. You only have to listen for a hollow."

(Alrighty, I'm going to be gone for four days in California starting tomorrow. I'll be camping, and won't be able to role play. So could we maybe move on without @Run Wild, just so we can get as far as possible with Dierk, Ian, and Madeleine before I leave?)

Nigel finished his fruit and watch as Janette showed him how she had opened the pantry. He was amazed at it but tried to hide it a bit as they seemed less impressed by such a thing. He then nodded and headed off for one of the other houses to look for supplies.

"I will take the middle house in this little group. I guess pack what ever you think will come in handy. I'll come back when I've looked the other place over real good." Nora said with a nod as she left the backpack for Janette to begin packing with supplies.

(sounds good with me. Just answer my last post if you want)

Janette set to work immediately, first putting in the most important food supplies. If necessary, they could easily carry and layer on the clothes and blankets that Nigel had discovered.

"Well then in that case, let's go!" Ian said cheerily.

Madeleine stood up to follow, using the wall to brace herself as she regained her balance first. "Jade? Would vous care to join us?" She asked, smiling pleasantly at the girl.
( @Run Wild )

(Just going to act like Jade said no.)

Given that the girl didn't want to partake in this little adventure, rather understandably as Dierk was sure she felt tired and weak, he was sure that confirmed that they would just go ahead and leave.

"Well, shall wir gehen then?" Dierk suggested politely, eager to help the group in one way or another. Possibly finding supplies or other survivors could help people not have any or as many negative or dangerous feelings towards him.
