Tears filled her eyes "That was me and Tanglefoot the last time I seen him, we had decided to be mates and I made a nest. Russetstar was so happy for us, she kept fussing over everything. There had been talk of rogues attacking the camp and Dawnstar was worried we might not be strong enough to defend outselves as many birds will ill with the sickness that had almost destroyed our Clan. He was one of the only birds not sick and Dawnstar couldnt afford to send more warriors so he went alone. I never seen him again, Swiftclaw and Scarbelly ambushed him soon after he left camp, killing him. They brought his dead body back to me, and told me that if I didn't convince Peppertail, Hawkstorm, Flower and Firey to follow them that they would kill my chicks."

Fiery shook his head. 'That's not true. I met the guy, me and Flower met him, and he told us to our face he was our father. he even showed us the special quirks we inherited from him. he said we'd been lied to all our lives, and he was so happy he'd finally found us agin.'

He said that now would be the best time to attack because the Clan was so weak, but he needed more then himself and 2 warriors to do it."
