SOUTH SEATTLE
Time: 7:16
Date: February 13th, Friday.
Weather: Light Rains, heavy by midday.
Location: Allentown, heading north.

Blurred buildings passed by the rainswept windows of the streetcar, sounds of brakes on wet pavement and car horns from outside, breaking through the semi quiet of the interior. Dominor leaned back in his seat, breathing slowly as he surveyed those standing and in the seats. They were all Ambroscus followers, his, followers, and the slightest of smiles touched his cold features at the thought. It hadn't taken much to empty the streetcar of its previous occupants, and now, the only one left was the now compliant driver, who Katie had taken care of.

"Mara, do you have their exact location?" Dominor asked in his usual calm and smooth, yet commanding tone.

Mara's eyes came back into focus as she looked to Dominor, "Not yet, but we're close, a mile or so, maybe," She replied, the sensory connection she held with one of their two targets was getting stronger, so she knew that they were closing in. Mara sighed, relaxing in her seat across from him as she went back to her work, eyes glazing over as she scried.

Seiko stood in the front of the streetcar, right up near the door, eyes narrowed and head high as he watched out the windshield, mind focused on blocking any attempts to locate them.

Donovan sat in the row behind Katie, and leaned forward with a sly smile, "Hey Genie, I like your powers, Teleportation is quite useful. Though, the pheromones thing is, well, not an ability I'd pick out," He said in a slightly taunting, slightly flirtatious tone, and raised an eyebrow as he finished with, "If you know what I mean."

"We need to be extra precocious with this case," Sascha continued briefing, leaning over the large table as she touched the digital map displayed there, focusing the aerial view in on their target's home, "He is a matter manipulator, and has already injured several of his school mates, sending one to the hospital with severe internal and external injuries." She explained in a calm and serious manner, looking to each of the Agents standing around the table as she did.

"Alistair, Buck, Markus, Kastor," Sascha said, her tone becoming slightly darker as she continued, "I want us to only take action against the target if extremely necessary, we don't need any more fatalities this month." On the 4th, they had went on a assignment that had turned horribly wrong, when one of the four targets had started throwing fire bolls and lighting the building ablaze. That day had ended with all four targets dead and three civilians injured, because of hasty actions by a new, now demoted Agent.

Elijah sat near Dominor, looking out the window, he used his power to seek any others who were also gifted. As was his duty to the order.

Alistair leaned back against the far wall, drumming his fingers against it "Are you sure I can't give 'em a quick bop if he acts up?" He asked in his rugged Scottish accent.

Katie raised her eyebrows at Donovan. "I don't know what you mean. It's come in quite handy. Would you care to elaborate? And be careful before you do – today's supposed to be unlucky, after all." She wasn't in the most pleasant of moods today. One of the factors being that if she'd had it her way, she'd just pop in – with Seiko, if Dominor insisted – and pop out with their targets. Boom. Done.

THE BLACKS' APARTMENT
Location: South Seattle, north of Allentown.

Verity, fresh from her shift at the café, smelling strongly of coffee, walked breezily through the door. Her expertly thrown bag landed with a loud thump on an kitchen chair, shortly followed by her jacket.

"Clemmie! You home?" she called.

"Yeah," came the unenthusiastic reply. Verity entered the living room to find Clemmie upside-down on the couch, legs up against the back, reading a large history book and looking thoroughly bored. Verity plopped down on a cushion and swung her legs up and down so they landed on her sister's stomach.

"Ow!" Clemmie complained, attempting to wriggle out, "Have you no respect for my ribs?" Verity laughed, then yelped as Clemmie jammed her dagger-like elbows into her legs. "How do you like that!"

"I don't, you smug little minx!"

"Ha!" Clemmie snapped. That caused Verity to pause.

"Clemmie, are you –"

"I'm fine!"

Yeah, because that was convincing.

"Understood," said Kastor. That had been an unpleasant incident, and he didn't want it repeated.

((Thanks Gertrude. :) ))

((Haha, I like her way, that's cool. With Seiko, of course.))

Donovan, on the inside, paled, but on the outside, kept up a cocky grin and replied, "Ah, but ya know, Perdy, can manipulate that, and that means I can," Though I can't figure out how to work it! He thought. Just because he could replicate a power, didn't necessarily mean he would know how to use it, and thus far had failed horrible with luck manipulation. "As for your power," Donovan continued, "I only meant that, with so- many powers at my disposal, my first thought would not be, 'I'll hit 'em up with some pheromones, make 'em all sad, that sounds grand!'" He gave Genie a wide smile, he was slightly intimidated by her, but wasn't about to let that show.

Mara watched through the eyes of the girl on the couch as her sister entered the apartment, and just had enough time to pull her other senses out before the girl's pain ensued. With eyes glazed, her head unconsciously began to turn to the right as the next cross street neared, as if the connection she held with the girl pulled her that way, which it did.

Dominor caught Mara's movement out of the corner of his eye, and knew what it meant, she was like a compass. He stood from his seat and walked swiftly to the front the the streetcar, laying his hand on the shoulder of the driver. Turn right up ahead... Dominor's cool voice entered the mans thoughts without him speaking, and he knew that he had to obey. The driver turned down the road to the right, and Mara's head swiveled back to face the front as they turned. Dominor smiled slightly, hand still resting on the drivers shoulder as he looked out the windshield, Seiko beside him by the sliding door.

Alistair leaned back against the far wall, drumming his fingers against it "Are you sure I can't give 'em a quick bop if he acts up?" He asked in his rugged Scottish accent.

A smile almost lit Sascha's face at Alistair's question, but it only reached her eyes, and barely that, "Only if he acts up, and only if the, bop, isn't deadly." She answered, her tone serious. "Let's get geared up and head out." Sascha stated as she tapped the digital map, shutting it off.

(You're welcome.)

(The way of Katie is pretty uncomplicated.)

Katie had, over years of scanning expressions, body language, and speaking tones to see if the pheromones had worked, gotten very good at reading emotions. And she could see a fake smile pretty easily. Real emotions were so much easier to work with. She poked him subtly, sending in some more fear.

(She's also a brat.)

((Please look at the Staff Notes in the rules.))

(So we should just swear outright?)

"Well let's go, I've got some animals to feed soon." Alistair said, referring to the menagerie of various pets, regular and exotic alike. He had been able to afford these creatures, as well as his single story, two bedroom one bath house in the rural edges of the city through his cushy job at a bioengineering lab, which paid good money for skilled biologists such as himself.

Location: Bus Station on Eastlake Avenue

Hal hesitated. She didn't do that a lot, but right now, standing at the bus door, she faltered. Suppose they didn't want her back. Suppose they were…not alive. Stop supposing, idiot, and find out for yourself! Someone pushed her with a growled comment that she couldn't quite make out but was pretty sure was unpleasant, and she stumbled out. A tiny puff of flame exited her mouth in anger, but nobody noticed. Probably. She needed to get better control of that.

Not the entrance she was hoping to make. Of course, she hadn't made a great exit, so maybe it made sense. Karma or something.

At least she was off that bus. People gave her a wide berth – the scruffy, rather unkempt six-foot-one girl who'd spent most of her money on the bus fare. Wasn't her fault – the shower in that totally awful apartment she'd rented was broken, and she'd had the lowest paying job ever. Hopefully, if everyone was alive and in a forgiving mood, she could clean up and find a new job.

"Stop stalling, you idiot, and get going," Hal snapped at herself. After years of being on her own, talking to herself had become a habit. Hal started walking.

Katie had, over years of scanning expressions, body language, and speaking tones to see if the pheromones had worked, gotten very good at reading emotions. And she could see a fake smile pretty easily. Real emotions were so much easier to work with. She poked him subtly, sending in some more fear.

((No kidding! Brat, brat, brat! But remember, when you deal with Donovan, what you give is what you get. ;) ))

Donovan breathed in sharply and his eyes widened, features hardening in a mix fear and anxiety as he drew back slightly. "You didn't have to do that, Genie..." He said, the cockiness gone. But his eyes then darted to Seiko standing in the front of the streetcar, and a slight smile lit his face once more as he negated the effects of Katie's power, though the smile was not as wide or as fake as it had been. "But..." Donovan said, then in a flash, reached out and poked her hard in the neck with a nice, strong dose of 'you like me, you like me a lot'...

Clemmie was in her room. She hadn't, at least, stormed into her room. She hadn't even slammed the door. Of course, she'd sent plenty of signs that something was wrong. Verity bit her lip. That girl really had something against opening up. It had been Clemmie's idea not to tell anyone in the first place. And now…she had the biggest ego in history.

Mara pulled out of the target, the girl was in her room and the streetcar was almost there. "Dominor," She said as she stood, walking slowing up to their leader. "They're right up ahead, on the left side,"

Dominor gave a half smile, barely looking her way. Pull over... The driver obediently pulled them over to the right side of the road.

"That one." Mara said, pointing out the window to an apartment straight across the street.

Seiko sneered, his favorite thing ever, was seeing the look on someone's face when they tried to defend themselves with their power, and nothing happened, or the power came back at them.

"Well let's go, I've got some animals to feed soon." Alistair said, referring to the menagerie of various pets, regular and exotic alike. Kastor nodded. An ugly suspicion niggled at the back of his mind. Katie might be there. Doesn't matter. Shut up. He turned to the wall, fist raised, then lowered it. As nice as it would feel, it'd cost a lot to repair that wall.

Sascha caught Kaster's frustrated motion without looking that way, she was slightly concerned that he wouldn't be able to keep his emotions in check, and out of his work. But she also knew that he had a good, strong character, and she wasn't going to kick him out of this assignment just because of an unconfirmed worry. "I want everyone ready and in the garage in five," Sascha said, then turned, walking to the sliding door and looking back briefly as she reached the door, it sliding open automatically, and she exited.

(So we should just swear outright?)

((LOL! I have to admit, that was my first thought when I saw it, the wording suggests it. Also kidding, I'm not going to start swearing.))

(Yeesh. Somebody better get a ruler and smack their knuckles!)

Katie blinked. Then the blink became more of a bat. She leaned in, "You didn't have to do that either."

"We are so going to have a talk about that attitude," Verity was muttering to herself, "She acts like I'm her jailer or something. What does she expect? I'll apologize, give her cupcakes, and let her run rampant on the streets? Not to mention jump."

Kastor nodded. He shortly entered the garage. Markus was already there, of course, and Buck still hadn't arrived – also of course.
