"because even though the tiny roosters give it their all, they simply bounce harmlessly off your leg. " I couldn't help but laugh at this! I might consider them if I were looking for pets. I would be strongly encouraged to get silkies though (which I don't actually want) as the pet chickies because those are the type my MIL likes.

When I get chickens my main purpose will be breeding and selling eggs or chicks, and eating of chickens. so teeny tiny pigeon sized birds wont really be my thing.
NOT THE SILKIES. well if that's what you're looking for, I have the solution! https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/buckeyes-breed-rating.73584/

huh, they sound like langshans personality wise. :p Once I've got a place with a coop I'm sure I'll be coming here to get suggestions on breeds and find some sources for hatching eggs. I'm always willing to hatch pretty well anything. but they need a home before I'll hatch them.

eta: I don't want silkies. :/

Same, they are just weird looking. If I were able to feel them and feel if they were soft enough to get then i would get them

They don't have single combs though. Biggest plus of them. Plus no feather feet. Night!
