Wow a lot of this I never thought about. Thanks! I’m going to try this tomorrow fanci.Well, one thing I do is look at photos. LOTS of that.
Some days are better than others, and sometimes you gotta just accept that. You are not a machine.
Look for shapes and 'strength lines' as I like to call them. Put some oomph into where your animal/person is going. "Force" drawing books are good for this.
Also, don't be afraid to erase. Ever. A lot of times the first thing you draw won't be the best. And if something is really frustrating you? Try a different paper or journal.
Draw and look at stuff upside-down. Drawing upside-down engages the left side of the brain and helps you see mistakes.
Draw outside of your comfort zone. You know, that one thing that you draw every time no matter what? Maybe try to draw a book character or a fantasy castle or something.
Be confident. Be bold.
