Thats a word I kinda invented. Kinda like where the muscles/fat goes, but it's not always skin. Like making an extra big chest on something to show strength, or thin limbs to show lack of same.
Also works for tails. When it's swishing to the side? Make it swish way over there. Don't be afraid to exaggerate.

I find it really hard to exaggerate a character. ;--; Any tips?

In dat order. You want a big, tough guy who gardens in his spare time? Straight, thin, longish nose, thick eyebrows, squarish jaw.

Someone who gets in a lot of fights? Crooked nose.

Pretty boy? Upturned nose with cheekbones you could cut something with.

Really, you just need to know your character. I look on Pinterest a lot. Search 'character design.'
Any character in particular you wanna emphasize? Describe em to me?
