wow, my sister has her coop a lot closer to her house. I think she only uses 1 ext. cord. 50' maybe.I would require 300ft of extension cord. Which we have, but dad needs to use it.

Haha, well when I get a house of my own, I'm gonna fix that. But until then...wow, my sister has her coop a lot closer to her house. I think she only uses 1 ext. cord. 50' maybe.
What humidity do you use?
Okay, so if ambient humidity is 40% here, what should I run mine?I run dry for the first 18 days. It's the only way I can get the air cells to shrink inside the incubator my Hygrometers usually read between 12% - 20%. NS ambient humidity is usually 90% or above though. And then for lock down I try to keep it over 55% in the incubator (I've had it drop to 30% overnight after external pipping with no problems), I struggle with this incubator to keep it at 65%. I don't have them getting shrink wrapped at this humidity so I figure it's all fine and the ambient humidity is probably playing a big role in that. If I'm desperate for humidity I can move the incubator into my bathroom and then I can't keep it under 45% even with the dehumidifier running.![]()
Really? That’s so cool! Is it fun to have your mom on here?My mom is room onthebroom
You are mean!Fried chickies
DIS ? dead inside?I'm new to this aircell business... All I know is how to tell if they're DIS by the aircell.
Gee, I don't think I've ever had it that big, even on day 20... I'll try a dry hatch next time and go by the chart. Keep a record.DIS ? dead inside?
I go by a picture that I got from here:

I run dry and check on day 7. if it's too big raise your humidity. If it isn't keep it how it is. same for day 14. humidity can bounce all over the place for the first 18 days it's just something to use to get your air cell where you want it.
