I think putting a roost above the nests might be a bit too high, though. I wouldn't be able to reach them.Thats a heavy tree. Itll be hard to get it to stay up without something to set it on. Maybe use a 4x4 thats been cut on the top edge to fit the round side of the branch? And screw it in place?
I think a lot of people put a poop board under their roosts above their nest boxes as both a step for the girls and as a way to keep the floor under the roost cleaner for "crawling" under for eggs.
LELELELEL SORRY XD THATS HOW FAR I LOOKED BACKOH. NO. XD
THE CRINGE IS SO MUCH WORSE THERE. XD
Same though. XD
And, I don't really have any thoughts... I guess make the roosts as close to branches as possible? They're harder to clean (you could make the individual roost bars removable), but they help prevent keel breakage and feet problems.![]()
I would just put another roost below that one, and use that as a step. There's no bedding on the floor today. I plan on pressure washing as soon as the girls decide if they want to lay an egg or not.

Yeah, buy then I really will have to crawl under to get the eggs. I have an Idea, I think. But like I said before, if it's my idea, it probably won't stick around for long.I would just put another roost below that one, and use that as a step.
I have my interview at 8:45(the first one) wish me luck!
*then waits for my alerts to explode*
How you be?
