I was thinking of Paws for Coffee, but they already have a buisness with the same name in the UK

What kinda business? I like doing that sort of thing. Besides that- is the other company in the same market as your imaginary one? I'm not sure, but I think you could legally make a business called Starbucks as long as it's like a tax service and not food.

Well yeah I know that, but I wanted to create a coffee shop buisness called Paws for Coffee, but they already have a coffee shop called that in the UK.

did your teacher give you a limiter on not taking someone elses restaurant name? because unless it's a big chain I doubt it would be a problem in the real world.

As an example... if per chance I was going into the restaurant business. (I'll use chinese food as an example) I wouldn't name mine something like Panda Express it's too well known. But the restaurant I used to work at was called Fu-wah. its a one of a kind restaurant if I used their name for my own restaurant I would just say great minds think alike.
