My parents are going to limit my BYC time because they say you all aren’t real friends and can’t always be there for me and I’m like, “why can’t I have friends on here?” And they said it isn’t a good use of your time. The truth is I’d rather spend time with you all because my real friends I’m seeing aren’t acting like true friends at all. You are my real friends! I cannot believe it. Why can’t you be friends with someone you don’t know/see?

One of the perks of my parents not knowing about BYC.

But that seriously sucks. And IMHO, internet friends are the best kind of friends.

My parents don’t want me to be on my phone as much either. I have to put it away at night but I’m using the excuse of listening to music. My mom seemed pretty confident that she can just go look at my profile and find out what I’ve been posting but I’ve limited the access to people I follow only and they can’t get into my phone and I’ve logged out on my iPad so I think I’ve got it all covered unless they actually come to this thread and find all my posts. Including this one

Parents are like that. But, honestly, they're wise to be cautious with who their kids are communicating online with. :/
But I know what you mean. I literally know not a single kid my age in real life that I'd call an actual friend. They just don't make em like BYC does.

My only friends are my online friends, and they've always been there for me.
They support me more than anyone, and listen when things get too stressful, and I don't know what I would do without them. ;--;

While I think your parents are kind of right, you do need to socialise with other kids your age (I didn't, and look at me ), I don't think that should mean not spending time with the people you value as real friends.
If that makes sense? XD

I got stopped to answer alerts in the middle of wiping off my makeup so i have like mascara all over my face as I sit here typing.

Lol my parents and brothers used to tell me that people on the internet are all fake.
