♥ ♥ ♥ Show Off Your Call Ducks ♥ ♥ ♥

The Calls aren't really that bad; my white pair that I bought at a show in September are currently living in my workshop with a pig dish that is big enough for them to swim in and while they make some mess, it's nothing compared to a flock of the big guys. They're still pretty splashy with their water, it's just that they aren't big enough to make big messes.

I get 40 below temps here, and regularly 30 below. Would a wet call Dux not turn into a duxicle?

Mine have done really well outside in all this cold weather. The pictures I posted of them with the water bucket were taken when the temperature was something like 30 below with wind chill. They don't mind it at all.

Nope, those two assured "evil Judy" of never getting a call dux.
:hit poor Judy!!

If she wants cuteness, she can just stare at me.

they just fleck it off

we had -29* not including windchill, they just took more breaks walking to sit on their feet but they are all fine and still go outside everyday

WOW I had to read that a couple time!

I thought I read something else... I thought you told me to Fleck off!

I was shocked you would talk to sweet me that way..

I am not sure how I would even keep water from turning rock hard here. Any Idea on that?

I use heated water buckets for the waterfowl here, like the one in the picture I posted. After winter you can pick em up for pretty cheap on clearance.

I was thinking I could sink a stock tank and put a stock tank heater in the bottom. BUT I worry about the Dux getting tangled in the cords-----DUX are known to not be too bright-----and call dux are the VWN'ers of the dux world from what I understand.
