I love turkey with all that stuff! Except I’ve never heard of succotash and I’m not a huge cole slaw person hahah but chicken or turkey with potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, etc.? Amazing.

I also love mashed squash or sweet potato and also pie or Mac & cheese

At least two days and up to 5 days for older ones. Brining them can help. Quail should be fine after a day.

Succotash is a mixture of corn and lima beans cooked with butter, salt and pepper.

I also love mashed squash or sweet potato

The only way I will cook sweet potatoes is candied. I dislike them them being mashed.

Sounds interesting!! I’m not really much of a corn person though and I don’t think I’ve ever had Lima beans. Is it like mashed or whole pieces or?

What is candied sweet potatoes? Cubes with brown sugar or something?? I like them anyway I love sweet potatoes!! Although mashed isn’t my favorite way. I love them in fry form or I also like them baked or cut into slices and cooked in olive oil. Never really had them any other way.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

4 medium sweet potatoes
4 tbsp butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup water


Pare and quarter sweet potatoes.

Cook (parboil) in water until fork just pierces potatoes easily.

Drain.

Melt butter with brown sugar and water.

Add sweet potatoes and cook over very low heat until candied.

Works best in an electric skillet.

Indeed. In my opinion, once you're at the point of throwing shoes or beating with broomsticks, it's not worth it. They will never stop seeing you as competition and you will never really trust them.
The best roosters I've had have come from a place of mutual respect.
