I understand the challenge, but that is the downfall of simply looking at nutrient profile as the means to judge a feed. Plus the chart you have developed is dependent on the information provided on the tag which is regulated by AAFCO regulations and is not all inclusive.
Judging from your screen name, I'm assuming you make your own feed? Can you tell us the process involved in doing so? Like does it have to be FDA approved, does it have to meet a certain minimum requirement as far as nutrition goes, etc etc? Or can anyone just basically make their own feed and sell it independently? I ask because I was thinking about giving this feed that is sold locally a try because it's pretty cheap but worry that it might not be a complete balanced nutritional meal for my chickens.

That is for starting a PET food company not for producing livestock feed which is what chicken feed is.
Let me try again.

I commend your efforts on the chart but it ignores the inclusion of specialty ingredients that may improve the health and production of the flock above and beyond feeding a specific, adequate nutrient profile.
I had to go back and re read this.
My Google sheet includes exactly what I originally planned for it to include...the guaranteed analysis information.

OK, I ask some very uncomfortable questions of feed providers.
  1. where do you get your vitamin pack from? If the answer is not "Fertrell" then they are done.
  2. where do you get your fish meal from? Again if the answer isn't Ferrtell they are done.
  3. Where do you get your calcium from? Again if the isn't Fertrell they are done

Do you work for 'Fertrell'?
