My first hatch! She seems to be stuck to her shell, though. She's dragging it around.

Edit: This one came out of the first egg that I saw move and the first one that I saw pipped.

2nd edit: She's managed to leave her shell behind.

I'm guessing that it's normal for sleep, a few seconds of perk up and move around followed by more sleep?

Yes they are dumb...they sleep a lot the first 24 hours.

Not to change the subject here but @Texas Kiki , and others in the Houston area are you prepared for the storm. It's not suppose to hit Houston but Lake Charles is close enough y'all will get alot of rain.

Not worried...one bit.
I haven't even bought extra TP yet...and still don't plan to.
May change my mind tonight.

thank you. My brother called me "mom" for years as our mom wasnt around much and to say we are close is a gross understatement. He called me on the fourth about in tears that he misses me and the kids(hes working in FL.) Yes dh made a complete recovery, it was a work accident and workers comp came thru for us then too. I was 6 months preg at the time and had the twins to care for at about 7 months old it was a riot. That was the baton rouge flood of 2016, so recent enough. Also lost it all as a teen in huricane hurricane Katrina. Moved 100 miles away to Grandmas town in the country while i took care of her and thought we were safe. Wasnt even a tropical storm or hurricane, just a rain event that flooded hundreds of thousands of people basically the whole BR greater area. Yes i guess it is understandable thanks for making me realize that and thanks again, i really feel a whole world better working thru this with this chat and i think tumro will be a much different day. Now though i Have to go to bed, its 1 and the kids will have me up before i wanna think about. I have always believed God wanted me to have a spine of steel and it was so that i could serve him for my grandma and my children, none of whom are or were a walk in the park really i feel a whole world better thank you so much and to anyone annoyed by my rambling and whinning im sorry rhis has gone on so long and i swear swear swear imall done. I feel all better thanks to lil ms kelsey

Aw that’s awesome you and your brother are so close!! Although I’m sorry about your mom. And wow that sounds terrible! But I’m glad he recovered and in a way glad it happened at work so you could get the comp. and oh wow that must have been a lot of work. And oh wow that is so awful to lose everything twice!! I’m so sorry but aww I’m glad you are feeling better. And for what it’s worth, I don’t think it was whining at all, just venting and awww I’m so glad I could help!!

Pot is legal here in MA too and we don’t have hurricanes or earthquakes and lately we’ve barely even had any snow or cold weather too. And we have humidity unlike out west. It’ll feel like home LOL

When it rains (not enough), mudslides. Lots of desert & scrub in the meantime.

Beautiful scenery with the Rockies. Snow skiing one weekend & beach the next. Mountains take getting used to after living in the Mississippi mud plains for so long.

Fond memories but drastically different. Every place has it’s issue, but home is where you hang your hat.

Besides, I was more talking about this specific place. I mean, no AC and forced to do all that stuff in the heat of the summer? And an LA summer at that. Only serving beans/starving? Forced to keep going even being sick. And just barging in/searching the house when they weren’t even there for her ? That’s part sounds illegal lol idk. People died in this program too I think she said, right? So I just mean this specific program sounds like torture/illegal. Not all of them. I guess some might not be so bad. But I’d probably quit or breakdown

this storm misses you......it’s current projected path is straight past you guys and ends with me!! we definitely don’t need more flooding and heavy rains! the first half 2019 we had rain/flooding 90% of weekends. We have been on boat 1x and jet ski 0!

I took out 8 that were quitters and moved fri and sun eggs to hatcher. I only had 6 out of 25 hatch so far. now on day 20. checking temp now....looks like it was on the high side maxing at 102. .......but with max of 102 still don’t see how that screwed up the hatch so bad

Should probably at least prepare! Haha people go crazy and buy milk and bread right before snow storms here even if it’s not even a bad storm and idk but milk and bread is the thing here haha
