That’s awesome!! And wow! Lots of incubators! Lol I’ve thought about getting a Brinsea but they’re so expensive. :hit they seem like amazing incubators though. Maybe I could find one cheap somewhere eventually. Lol if I ever get more serious about hatching that is aka if I become a hatching addict and need more incubators. :lau  for right now I just have an Incuview from Incubator Warehouse that I got back in March but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. :lau hopefully soon. :fl

Spatchcocked is easy. Skin or pluck. Cut out backbone. Use backbone for broth. Feed bones to chickens.

I like keeping the birds whole and minimize bone splinters. One time and it ruins it for ever.

@BantyChooks when you said not able to get your hands into the cavities, do you stretch them at all? I pull the breastbone away from the backbone in order to get my big, fat hands into the small spaces. They stretch. After cooking, you can't tell the difference. I do this on large fowl also.
Actually, I tried to gut a quail without spatchcocking yesterday, and it went better than I thought it would; they have a deep keel, and their internal membranes aren't tough at all. The only annoying part was getting the lungs out. I couldn't get my fingernails in the rib slats so I ended up scrambling them and rinsing them out.

That is some talent you have with that tiny boot! :clap

:lau thanks but that was the second attempt :lau its holding strongish. I did it within 12 hrs of hatch so if anythings gonna work then that plus the nuridrench in the water is. it was pretty bad though and i knew i needed to do something that this wasnt gonna fix itself.
