Also in Mixed hatches the down feather sexing is out the window unless you have compatmentalized each egg and hatching chick knowing what each egg came from because you could be looking at a simple Italian next to a pearl and think the italian is a boy the pearl is a girl then they end up opposite as their colors come in. Thats why for that to work it needs to be all of this one type in this one incubator or section of the incubator ect. This doesnt work with every light colored type variety either. The lavander manchurian were bred to have this feature. I love the mutlicolor hatches but i will be glad when i can sell baby day old quail hens too. People here dont wanna sully their hands with the blood of the animals they want to eat, so mostly i eat my extra boys and sell my extra girls. If they keep poultry at all 75% of the time its for eggs and 90% of that time they are pets-- only 10% of the time they are livestock intended to be eaten. Leads to alot of flocks with extra males who attack one another constantly and overbreed their hens.

Yes ma'am. At hatch the girls have very light or non existent stripes while the boys have darker stripes as a rule.

Sure do! *These could be other colors* could both be lav mans there was Alot of yeller in this hatch and it yeilded 6/48(?) Lav mans but this is what i mean by the males having darker stripes vs the females having very light or even non existent stripes.
